This performance pierces right through my heart, instantly transporting me back to The Great Dream Returns. Since his Nanjing concert, I’ve held onto this recording of his first concert, of his first tour. My footage captures him up close... the breathtaking atmosphere, the umbrella and the very soul he poured into every expression.. showing how deeply he loved this character he embodied for months. While the full stage showed him ascending on a wire, lifted by the water, locked on his face, capturing the raw heartbreak. He didn't just perform... he brought the Great Demon back to life right before our eyes. And it was when I heard his voice singing Yuanzhou's Youth live that it truly broke me. It is spellbindingly captivating.. so heartbreakingly beautiful that I couldn't bear to share it until now.
When I finished Fangs of Fortune, I was depressed. I don't like sad endings.. I usually stay away. So I hope you understand why I couldn't share this sooner. Why I kept it hidden, replaying it only on my rainy days. Replaying it on Hou Minghao's rainy days. Replaying it when I missed the Great Demon so much.
This iconic song is an ethereal, haunting masterpiece. Hou Minghao sang this with so much of his heart that I have no words... just an ocean of emotions, both empty and full... a contradiction that is my ultimate weakness. It evokes every ounce of my painful longing for Zhao Yuanzhou. It makes me want to rewrite his ending, to give him the happy one he deserved. Maybe one day I will learn to let him go... to accept his fate... to reconcile his willingness ... his beautiful heart and the depth of his soul.. committed to saving us all....ending his pain when he wanted to live the most 😭😭😭
In his farewell letter, Hou Minghao wrote: "If you encounter rainy days in the future, that will be me coming to keep you company" He also wrote: "Turn the boat around. Let it be just a great dream. On the other shore, someone is looking for me"
Because the last line of the lyrics says it all "The wind blows far, the distant boat has come to shore"
So today, on this 2nd anniversary, I am turning the boat around. I am letting the distant come to shore one more time.. for my beloved Zhao Yuanzhou ☔️

He said he’ll sing a couple lines of “Wrong Love” a cappella since everybody really wants to hear this song but he didn’t prepare this with the band beforehand. But thankfully, band laoshi is very experienced and we got much more than promised✌️😗

Today, he has to use Gu Feng Xiao Sheng’s state, Monkey’s action, and say in Henan dialect, “na me zhong ma me ran, zhou mo dao henan” (maybe something like: so ideal, so lit, go to Henan on the weekend)
He’s contemplating what to do for Monkey, as being on all fours doesn’t look very elegant 😂 That’s when someone suggests doing “bai bai” (🙏🏻🙏🏻) which he says is a genius idea because that’s all Monkey knows how to do. Talking Pt - The power of “Yuanzhou’s Youth”
(For the second day in a row 😭😭😭)
#HouMinghao: “My tears just now were not because I thought of Zhao Yuanzhou. It was because hearing these lyrics, it made me think of my past self, and also of all of you as you were before I ever stood on this stage.
Back then, I said that my ideal in life, my wish, was to hold a concert of my own. That was my dream. The person I was back then seems very small compared to who I am today. To me, he was just a rather naïve and inexperienced young boy, but he had a very pure dream. I believe that when everyone was young, they had that kind of very pure heart, as well as a place deep inside themselves that was so pure that they didn't want anyone else to touch it.
When I sang this song just now, I thought of the person I used to be. I never imagined that this wish could actually come true. But standing here today, I feel especially grateful to my past self. Just like the lyrics I just sang, “Want to shout loudly, want everybody to hear.” Today, I let everybody hear my singing. Each one of you seated, heard it.
I have to thank myself, that youth I used to be. And I also have to thank you all for your support. Besides this, I also really want to thank my parents. I believe there are many of you with parents accompanying you here. I see what you have posted on social media. Perhaps, you sometimes have minor conflicts with your parents. But I feel, regardless of whether they support you or not, have conflicts with you or not, they are people who raised and nurtured you. We have to thank them.
