I fucking hate Russell Brand
This is a summary of what happened in Russell Brand’s rape and sexual assault trial, including the allegations made by six women and the evidence given by his former friend/acquaintance, Mark Pinheiro, in court.
The first complainant alleges Brand raped her in a hotel room during the Labour Party conference in Bournemouth in 1999. Pinheiro, who was with Brand at the conference, told the court that Brand disappeared one night and did not return until the following morning, when he appeared “flustered” and insisted they leave immediately.
Pinheiro said he remembered Brand cowering in the back seat of their car and lowering himself behind the side window when a police siren passed. He also told jurors that Brand later admitted he had been with a woman the previous night and that it “may have gone a bit too far”.
The second complainant alleges Brand grabbed her by the arm in 2001 in an attempt to drag her into a toilet.
The third woman alleges Brand grabbed her breasts with a “big weird grin” on his face in a London bar in 2004 before forcibly pulling her into a toilet cubicle and orally raping her.
The fourth complainant alleges Brand pushed her against a wall and kissed her “sloppily and aggressively” at a radio station between 2004 and 2005. He is also accused of grabbing her breasts, sides and buttocks.
The fifth woman alleges Brand raped her after she first met him following his show at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2009. She claims he invited her to his home, where he subjected her to anal rape after consensual vaginal sex.
The sixth complainant, a Channel 4 worker, alleges Brand sexually assaulted her while he was filming for a project in 2009. She says he demanded a massage, knelt down and placed his head in her “groin area” before she had time to react.
