St. Joe's will induct Phil Martelli into its Hall of Fame as the lone member of the Class of 2027, per release.
A salute to Hawks AD Ash Puri for making sure that Martelli finally gets the recognition he deserves for his time on Hawk Hill.

The Brewers are being celebrated like they invented baseball.
They are doing things that have become unusual.
They have an old school tough manager who players love playing for.
They focus on basic easy to understand basic fundamentals.
They have a hitting coach that was an overachieving player for skill that played in the big leagues.
They hit the ball the other way.
They value putting the ball in play.
They adjust their approach based on situation and count.
They are not addicted to exit velocity and launch angle bullshit.
They bunt and steal bases.
They do not have selfish superstars that need to be treated like celebrities.
The Brewers simply play the game how it was meant to be played.

Book is Live!
Over the last several months, I’ve had the chance to go back through ten seasons as the head coach at Merrimack and put into words so much of what has shaped our program.
More Than the Zone is not a book just about our zone defense. It’s about everything underneath it as well - the recruiting, development, standards, practice design, staff structure, offense, defense, analytics, preparation, and daily habits that have become the Merrimack Basketball Operating System.
I loved reliving it. I hope coaches, leaders, and anyone interested in building a team or organization can take something from it and make it their own.
More Than the Zone is available now on Amazon.

he had the 14th highest ops in baseball this year. he knew the flaws of this roster and called Dave out about it. switched positions to try and help.

A crazy stat from Jayson Stark
"In the history of postseason baseball, there have only been two times when two lefty hitters have hit back-to-back homers off a lefty. Schwarber and Harper yesterday. The other? Ruth and Gehrig 98 years ago."

DeSean Jackson's older brother made the Chiefs practice squad—then quit football, picked up a camera, and spent the next 35 years filming his little brother.
Pop Warner. Long Beach Poly. Cal. The Eagles.
Thousands of hours of home video nobody outside that family has ever seen.
Their dad told DeSean to "think NFL." He finished with 26 career TDs of 60+ yards—still the NFL record, and nobody's close.

Detroit's Kevin McGonigle, who just made his MLB debut this season, has led the American League with 7.1 WAR.
He's only the third player ever with at least 24 Rbat, 4 Rbaser, 10 Rfield, and 1 Rdp in his rookie season. The others?
Trout and Ichiro.
THAT'S how good this kid is.
Preach…now go get us that parade you will never forget @bryceharper3
