Strengthening #AlUla’s contribution to astronomical research and international scientific collaboration, #AlUlaManara has commissioned two LaserSETI stations, making #AlUla the project’s first and only location in Asia and its fifth operational observatory worldwide. The date palm has long been part of life in AlUla, carrying knowledge, skills and traditions passed down through generations, from date harvesting and palm-leaf weaving to dishes such as Haysa, traditional farmers' songs and the beat of the Zeer drum made from its trunk.
