📣@EduCannotWait warmly welcomes #Germany’s €100M commitment – a powerful and sustained investment in education for children affected by conflict and crisis.
As #ECW’s top donor, 🇩🇪is helping drive real impact, expanding access to quality education for girls and boys left furthest behind.
Thank you to @BMZ_Bund for stepping up at a critical moment and to @GlblCtzn & @JohnLegend for helping spotlight the urgent need to invest in #EiE.
At a time of rising needs, this pledge sends a clear message: education must remain a priority. Because when learning continues, so does #hope.
Just in — 🇩🇪 Germany's @BMZ_Bund appeared via video w/ @johnLegend to announce a pledge of €100M to @EduCannotWait— €20M a year from 2027 to 2031 — for children caught in conflict and crisis. This is what showing up for education looks like. Thank you! 📚 #GlobalCitizenNOW

In Ottawa this week, #ECW's Director @MaysaJalbout met with Canada's Secretary of State for International Development, The Hon. Randeep S. Sarai, to advance our shared commitment to #EiE.
#Canada has been a steadfast partner in #ECW's mission – investing $126.5M+ since the Fund’s inception & helping reach millions of children and youth whose education has been disrupted by crises.
As we look ahead to the 2027–2030 period, our continued collaboration is key. Together, we're building the case for bold, sustained investment for girls and boys left furthest behind.
Thank you, @CanadaDev, for your leadership and continued support.

The learning crisis costs the global economy $3.3 trillion each year in lost productivity.
Without urgent action, these losses will accelerate a vicious cycle of poverty and lost opportunities.
