The UK government’s new Emergency Alerts system will be tested on Sunday April 23rd at 3pm. The system is designed to warn you in emergencies when there’s a danger to your life, health or property in the area you’re located.

The 23rd is only a test and remember NOT to hold a mobile phone while driving. If you receive an alert while driving, do not pick up your phone and attempt to deal with the message.
