🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL FOLLOWERS – PLEASE READ 🚨 Right folks, unfortunately we find ourselves having to address yet another situation that has taken the shine off what was otherwise a very successful morning helping supporters get to the match. Earlier today, a follower was put in contact with a seller through our page. This seller has previously sold tickets through us, provided proof of tickets and has previous buyers who can vouch for successful transactions. However, rather than the original buyer completing the transaction personally, other individuals were subsequently involved in sending money on their behalf. We have since been contacted by several individuals claiming they have been scammed, despite the fact that these individuals were never personally put in contact with the seller by our page. The seller has provided us with screenshots showing refunds being processed. We are not suggesting anyone should be left out of pocket, and we expect all refunds to be received and confirmed. But this brings us back to something we have repeated TIME AND TIME AGAIN. ❗ IF YOU ARE BUYING A TICKET, BUY IT FOR YOURSELF. ❗ DO NOT SEND MONEY ON BEHALF OF FRIENDS, FAMILY MEMBERS OR OTHER SUPPORTERS. ❗ DO NOT INVOLVE THIRD PARTIES IN TRANSACTIONS ARRANGED THROUGH THIS PAGE. ❗ IF YOU ARE SELLING, DEAL DIRECTLY WITH THE PERSON YOU HAVE BEEN PUT IN CONTACT WITH. These guidelines exist for a reason. When additional people become involved in a transaction, it becomes increasingly difficult to establish who paid whom, who is entitled to a refund and what actually happened. What is particularly disappointing is seeing accusations that this page is somehow involved in scamming supporters. LET US MAKE SOMETHING ABSOLUTELY CLEAR. This page is run entirely voluntarily. We do not charge supporters for introductions. We do not take commission from ticket sales. We give up our own time because we genuinely enjoy helping fellow Reds get to matches at FACE VALUE. Today alone, we helped numerous supporters secure tickets. Yet instead of celebrating that, we’re once again having to defend the reputation of a page we’ve spent years building. We will always take genuine concerns seriously. But publicly accusing this page of scamming supporters without establishing the facts is unfair and damaging. We cannot be held responsible for arrangements made independently between individuals we have not personally connected. To the overwhelming majority who follow our guidance, support the page and appreciate the work we do — thank you. ❤️ And to everyone else, please understand one thing: THIS PAGE EXISTS TO HELP SUPPORTERS, NOT TO PROFIT FROM THEM. We want genuine fans getting to matches, genuine tickets changing hands at face value, and everyone going home happy. That’s what we’ve always stood for. REDS SPARES IRELAND 🔴 By the fans. For the fans. Face value.
