KEEP IT McGREWVY
Notes From a Brain That Won’t Shut Up
What happens when a comedian who’s spent forty years making people laugh finally starts writing down everything that’s been rattling around in his head?
You get Keep It McGrewvy.
Comedian Steve “Mudflap” McGrew has spent most of his adult life noticing things other people overlook—and then saying them out loud. Sometimes onstage. Sometimes on the radio. Sometimes to people who probably wish he hadn’t.
Now he’s put those observations into a book.
Part comedy, part memoir, part front-porch philosophy, Keep It McGrewvy is a collection of stories and observations about growing up, getting older, marriage, divorce, parents, relationships, radio, stand-up comedy, cruise ships, cats, Christmas, technology, social media, and the increasingly complicated business of simply being a human being.
McGrew remembers growing up in a world before smartphones, apps, QR codes, subscriptions, and refrigerators that apparently need software updates. He looks back at parents who somehow made adulthood appear easy, childhood Christmases that seemed magical, the strange realization that he’s slowly turning into his father, and four marriages that have given him considerably more relationship research than any one man probably needed.
He wonders why everything needs an app.
Why nobody owns anything anymore.
Why we’ve stopped fixing things.
Why adults need coloring books.
Why relationships now require an entirely new vocabulary.
And why getting older has somehow made it harder to kill anything—even a bug.
But underneath the jokes is something else.
This is also a book about memory. About parents who are gone. About discovering that the things you thought mattered when you were young aren’t necessarily the things you remember when you’re older. About realizing that the adults you once believed had everything figured out were probably improvising just as much as you are.
And about learning that sometimes the things that make us laugh are sitting right beside the things that break our hearts.
After four decades in comedy, McGrew has learned one thing: if you can make somebody laugh, you can usually sneak a little truth in while their guard is down.
That’s what Keep It McGrewvy does.
Some chapters will make you laugh.
Some might make you nostalgic.
A few may sneak up on you.
And somewhere along the way, you may recognize a little of your own life in his.
Pull up a chair. Pour yourself some coffee.
Steve’s brain isn’t shutting up anytime soon.
You might as well listen.

Meta has been ordered by a judge in New Mexico to pay $25 billion to the state after a jury found that the social media company deceived consumers for years about its data privacy policies.
Judge Francis Mathew handed down the amount, which New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez described as "one of the largest, if not the single largest state verdict against a company in American history."

In their 40s, many face a crisis of identity, often seeking digital validation rather than addressing underlying issues at home. When personal growth is framed as an escape, the foundations of family are easily dismissed as obstacles.

Modern trends often glorify the abandonment of responsibility. Yet, lasting fulfillment is found in commitment and accountability. It is time to re-evaluate what it means to show up for the people who matter most.

She’s claiming we’re trying to intimidate her when her whole earlier video was based on the fact she wanted to prosecute young conservatives so they wouldn’t vote conservative any longer. Bitch that is intimidation.
Governments struggle to fix basic infrastructure like roads or balance a simple budget, yet they somehow find time to produce endless documents on trivialities. Priorities seem completely inverted when bureaucracy outweighs actual results.
