New paper by @SyafiqRamlee_ and team! The variability in image acquisition and processing has a big impact in any #radiomic analysis, and Syafiq has studied this effect very carefully in PET imaging🕵️♂️

We are very happy to share that last week @MariaBioeng successfully defended her PhD thesis. Well done María!
(Picture after her viva, with examiners and supervisor, ready for an identity parade?)
This week we had the debut of the Department #equality #Diversity and #inclusion Film Club. We watched Hidden Figures and had lots to talk about afterwards… over pizza! Come and join us next month!
Thanks to those that attended our first EDI film club Tuesday evening, we had a great time! See you at the next one! #edi #equality #Diversity
👏 We are very proud of our PhD student, Syafiq (@SyafiqRamlee_), who is joining the Turing and Roche community to use his creative talent to disseminate #science!
🥳 Super thrilled to join the first cohort of Community Scholars under the incredible partnership between @turinginst & @Roche!
Looking forward to develop and roll out a fun #ScienceCommunication creative video series focusing on #AI in #Health! 🎥
We’re so happy to have hosted Oguntade Adeniji for his @HDRUKLearning Black Internship Programme project with @lorena_e_s the past couple of months 🎉
During his time here, Tade worked on using CT #radiomics to predict the treatment response of patients with #OvarianCancer!
As important as it is to develop #ArtificialIntelligence tools for cancer research, it is also important to integrate them into the clinical setting. In our latest paper we describe the technical details of our pipeline for #ovariancancer
It was absolutely delightful to bask in the sun on the small island at Darwin College and mingle with everyone 🔥
We couldn’t have asked for a better time with even better people!
👀 Guess who we spotted on page 42 of the @turinginst 2022-23 Annual Report! (none other than our very own PhD student/superstar @MariaBioeng! 👏) #PitchFest
🛎️ The Alan Turing Institute 2022-23 Annual Report
It’s been a significant year in the UK’s #DataScience and #ArtificialIntelligence landscape, and the Turing is delighted to present its 2022-23 annual report ⬇️🧵
Really interesting and important result by members of our team - moving forward with DL-based automated segmentation algorithms!

Last Friday at the @CRUK_CI Ovarian Cancer Programme Workshop, our PhD student Maria Delgado-Ortet (@MariaBioeng) discussed new opportunities and challenges in unravelling spatial and temporal heterogeneity of high-grade serous ovarian cancer! Well done 👏
It was great to see Jian Chen (supervised by Dr Jonathan Weir-McCall @JWeirMcCall) presenting in today’s group meeting where he discusses his first year #PhD work on using CT angiography #radiomics🫀+ #clinical data 🏥 to predict the development of coronary heart disease!
We will soon bid farewell to Dr Andrea Anghelone, whom we had the pleasure of hosting for a 3-month research visit! We also treated him with some quintessential British delights at The Eagle pub last night 🇬🇧🍻
How quickly time flies!
Well done @MariaBioeng - your group is very proud of you!
🎉 We are delighted to announce that the very first winner of #PitchFest - held at this year's #AIUK - is Maria Delgado-Ortet (@MariaBioeng). Congratulations, Maria! 🎉
