Check out our latest Google review. I wouldn’t trade being a defence lawyer for anything. Best of luck to our client who has been through a nearly five year ordeal. Her charges were finally withdrawn today.

Check out our latest Google review from a Canadian law student who we defended. It was a tremendous honour that such an intelligent person chose us to defend him. I’m so happy we were able to get their charges withdrawn and look forward to welcoming this person as a colleague.

I was very happy to be named in @PostytCi by my colleagues as one of Toronto’s top lawyers in criminal defence. I love my defence lawyer colleagues and being a defence lawyer.

My client was just discharged of possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl following a two day preliminary inquiry in Kingston. I am so happy for my client who has had a lengthy jail sentence hanging over his head until today and can now breathe a sigh of relief. Thank you Kingston for the hospitality. I hope to be back to this very Canadian, historic and charming city soon.

Here is a framed picture at the law library in the Brampton courthouse that I noticed today. The indoctrination is everywhere.

I am not exactly sure what is going on, but there is a substantial protest outside the St. Catherine’s courthouse today. Probably to do with a bail hearing. It is good that citizens are getting involved. I passed by many people on my way into the courthouse and they were very polite.

I am so extraordinary happy for my friend and mentor in criminal law on becoming a judge in Brampton. I was so grateful to be at his swearing in ceremony today. Justice is great hands in our beautiful Province. Congratulations Justice Sean Robichaud!

Lawyers are obligated by our rules of professional conduct to encourage respect for the administration of justice. Following the (obvious) acquittals of the (completely innocent) hockey players following a trial in London, many lawyers are doing the opposite by (falsely) claiming that the acquittals were unjust and the justice system is broken. It is not, but lawyers should do better. A criminal trial is not political theatre.

After filing Charter materials, our client accused of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl had his charges stayed in Brantford today. We raised the issue of the legality of the search of his vehicle and his arrest, as we argued it was based on racial profiling. The @TheKawiLawyer and I are especially happy for our client who was on a house arrest bail and wore an ankle monitor for nearly two years.
