When 100-or-so nucleons merge and form a #plasma of quarks and gluons in the @ALICEexperiment at @CERN, spectating protons subject it to fields of up to 10¹⁵ T
These are the strongest magnetic fields ever probed 💥🔬

Run 10 is over, we exceeded all our expectations! recording data down to 7.7 GeV - the lowest energy ever run at RHIC
Listen! to a STAR event - its the last bit of movie - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jF8QO3Cou-Q (a collab. effort

STAR events are everywhere, wanna buy some shoes? http://www.zazzle.com/keds_first_gold_beam_collision_at_rhic_shoes-167080811871090037
The beam energy scan starts with 62 GeV AuAu collisions! We took all the 200 GeV collision data we requested, including the rare triggers.

STAR has recorded all the min-bias data we asked for at 200 GeV. The rest of the run is dedicated to our rare triggers.
