This little cabin and the land with it is still probably my favorite investment I've made. This cabin looked nothing like this and I was going to just bulldoze it but I'm so glad I decided to do a complete remodel on it. It's a great escape for me!!

God, I hate being sick!! My energy is just not there and I don't have the kinda job where there's such a thing as "sick days". This kind of farming is 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

A real woman can do it all by herself... But a real man would never let her.

I could sleep for 2 weeks straight and I'd still be tired.

For better or for worse I will always speak my mind because it hurts to bite my tongue.

It's nice to have these temps in the 50s here but with all the snow melted now and the rain this farm is a muddy mess right now. Been a couple of weeks since I've been on here, hope everyone is doing good out there!!

I literally don't know what to do with myself today since this heat wave has moved in. It's only 36° right now but it feels so much warmer considering it's the first day it's been above freezing in a couple of weeks.

It's a whopping 7° outside right now. My hands were turning to ice feeding the baby calves, I feel like a damn popsicle!!

My 7 year old niece just might be the happiest girl in the world right now. She begged me to wait and finish combining when she could be here with me because it's her favorite thing to do and ofcourse I waited. I bet she thanked me and told me she loved me 20 times tonight. ❤

This cold has been brutal the last 2 days! My dry cows picked a hell of a time to go crazy and tear up a bunch of fence that I've been fixing the last 2 days. Been so damn cold I kinda wish my great granddad and granddad picked a different family business.

If you're happy and things are great Christmas and New Year's is a great time of year, maybe the best. If you're not happy and things are tough, you're sad or depressed, no time of year will make you feel it more than this time of year.

Christmas and this time of year was always my favorite because of the people I was lucky and blessed enough to get to spend it with, now it tends to be the hardest. I'll be glad when it's my favorite again!!

My life right now consists of getting up a little before 4am, milking, feeding, combining, milking again, feeding, combing til 11 or 12, sleep for a few hours, repeat... The life of a farmer.

I think love is wanting more for someone than they want for themselves.

It's funny how when you're a little kid and you put $20 in your pocket it feels like it's $100, now that I'm an adult it feels like I put $1 in my pocket and I'm broke.

Sometimes, even when you know what's coming, you still just can't prepare yourself for how it feels.

It's a beautiful day here today!! This ol farm just keeps going and going and going... Blessed to be able to call all this mine!!! 💯
