Our Guardians getting to meet Toa Samoa 🇼🇸 🇵🇬
All Guardians of our Trek are descendants of the Koiari people (or Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels) who helped the Australians fight the Japanese in WW2. They live along the vibrant villages of the Kokoda Track and helped the players better understand the people and culture of the place where Australians and the Papuans fought together.
Thank you to the Samoan players and coach Ben Gardiner for the meet and greet ❤️
For the first time ever, the Fiji Bulikula are competing in the Rugby League World Cup.
Fijian international and Cronulla Sharks NRLW player Cassie Staples spoke to the RLPA about what it means to play on the world stage.
Cassie recently joined the RLPA's Mana group, which was established in 2024 to empower Pasifika and Māori players by giving them the opportunity to utilise their voices, provide feedback, and engage with stakeholders on matters directly affecting them and their communities.
Sharing culture 🇹🇴
