We want transparency on the MaxPreps rankings, if coaches could calculate the formula on a napkin there’s less backlash. Ohio uses the Harbin system that has two tiers of points, X amount of points for beating a team in X division, then second tier points that you get per win that team you beat accumulates. It’s not perfect, but you can figure your points and position after every game. That’s all the coaches want 🤷🏻‍♂️

Zach LaVine on how long it takes for a team to gel on both ends: "Sometimes it's organized from the top down. Sometimes it's organized from a certain player on the team, like a Chris Paul... a very high-level leader... It can come from a veteran coach or even a bench coach." “But we're all working through it. We don't really have any of that right now, and it's not going to come anytime soon. So, as a collective, we need to figure out what's everybody's strengths..."

Doug Christie on the end of the game after being tied at 106: "I have to be better for them. This isn't on them. I'll take this."

Just in: Sacramento Kings guard Ben Simmons is believed to have sustained a torn Achilles tendon at practice Sunday, sources tell ESPN. A suspected season-ending injury for Simmons after rejuvenated and impressive training camp and preseason performances.
