Has anyone else noticed, that almost all Chip shops are now closed at lunchtimes 🤔 Whilst on the road, all over the country, I used to enjoy the lunchtime specials that were on offer, but now finding a chippy open, is a task all of its own. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Has the chippy become too expensive? Has the quality of food in the chippy become poorer? Where’s the shift, is it to McD’s, KFC, Greggs etc?

Fell asleep very early last night, before Traitors 😳, following a big day at the allotment 💪, so it’s not surprising I’m up and awake at 4am. ☹️ #OddBox has arrived with some great vegetables & fruit, it’ll be a shame when we have to stop this, as we’ll be growing and eating our own 👨‍🌾 except the bananas 😏

What kind of unearthly time is this to be awake and have to get up 😳

I couldn’t help myself….😜 A customer gave me a full cage of cardboard today, so I had to drop it off after work around lunchtime at the allotment. 😏 I then thought I’d tidy up around the area that’s fully laid out with cardboard, mark it & measure it out to see how my walkways & beds would look. 🤔 Then, I thought, I’ll just put another walkway down of wood chips to get a better visual, then put a line of bagged manure down next to it, as this will show me how many beds I’ll get in this area. 👍 The rest is history, I’m weak, I couldn’t walk away until I lined all the bags up, which I thought was much better than having bricks and concrete all over the cardboard, well that my excuse anyway. 😎 Now, I know I won’t, or hopefully won’t, use all that manure in each bed, but the OGS calculator is rather confusing.🫤 For 4.5m x 1.2m x 2”, it states I’ll use 300 litres, they’re 50l per bag, so that’s only 6 bags, but that doesn’t look or seem much, am I missing something. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyway, my little & often and resting today went out of the window. 😂

Two pallets safely tipped in #Scunthorpe, now heading back to #Coventry. 🚚 I really need to find some businesses up here in Scunthorpe, #Doncaster, even #Sheffield that can give me work back towards the Midlands as I’m up here now almost every Thursday. 🚚

After a couple of long and ‘tough on the body days’ at the allotment, I popped up there again after I cleared a site in Bromsgrove. 🚚 I got some wood chippings down on the far side of my boundary, courtesy of my neighbour, but I was feeling a bit tired and worn out, so luckily the heavens opened up and I called it a day after only 90 minutes 😳 Think I’ll have a break until Friday, the body needs a rest, so “little and often” is the new order of the day, I’m no spring chicken anymore. 😜
