Am văzut-o prima dată pe Alina Şerban, actrița, spunându-şi povestea curajos în fața publicului într-o vară acum mai bine de un deceniu. Îmi este de atunci sursă de curaj şi de autenticitate prin arta ei. Felicitări echipei şi producătoarei Ada Solomon şi celor 16 copii care fac parte din distribuție.

Ne luăm rămas-bun de la Ileana Cotrubaș, una dintre marile voci ale României, care a dus numele țării noastre pe marile scene ale lumii, de la Opera din Paris, Royal Opera House din Londra, La Scala din Milano și Metropolitan Opera din New York, până la marile festivaluri de operă de la Salzburg și Glyndebourne. Condoleanțe familiei și celor apropiați dar și numeroșilor iubitori de operă care ascultă și vor continua să asculte vocea Ilenei Cotrubaș. Mari nume ale muzicii internaționale deplâng plecarea ei. Today at 11:02 AM, a Romanian pilot flying an F-16 fighter jet shot down a drone that had entered our airspace without authorization — the first time a drone has been intercepted and destroyed in Romania's national airspace. The interception took place over an unpopulated area in Buzău County. This success is the result of a dedicated pilot, the rapid response of the Romanian Armed Forces, and seamless coordination with Italian Eurofighters on NATO Air Policing duty, which were also scrambled. President @NicusorDanRO and Minister of National Defence @RaduMiruta reaffirmed today our commitment to protect our airspace and to continue investing in modern air defense and anti-drone capabilities. The impact area and the debris are currently being analyzed. The path toward increased security is the path toward peace at our border. We will protect our citizens and support international efforts to assist our neighbors, who are protecting innocent civilian lives against these illegal attacks.

In the Black Sea, Romania is building. The Neptun Alpha production platform is now in place: over 225 meters tall, 16,500 tons, anchored in waters 120 meters deep. The largest natural gas project in Romania's history is on schedule, first gas in 2027. Romania is on track to become the largest natural gas producer in the European Union. Energy produced at home, in Europe, for Europe with more stable prices for households, gas for industry and agriculture. A great responsibility now lies with the OMV Petrom and Romgaz teams. It is also the message I carry to our partners in every capital. Romania delivers big projects, completed, on time.

Romania welcomes the continued advancement of Montenegro’s EU accession negotiations, including the provisional closure of chapters on free movement of workers and on consumer and health protection. This is a clear sign of sustained reform progress and commitment to the European path. 🇲🇪🇪🇺 We reaffirm our full support for Montenegro’s accession process and for a credible, merit-based EU enlargement. @MFA_MNE

Today, the Republic of Moldova's European future becomes irreversible. In Luxembourg, at the Intergovernmental Conference at Ministerial Level, we have officially opened the first negotiating cluster - Fundamentals - for Moldova's accession to the European Union. I am glad to mark this moment together with Prime Minister @AlexMunteanuMD, and to congratulate him and the Republic of Moldova on a hard-earned step forward. This is the future the people of the Republic of Moldova hoped for, the future they protected in the face of threats, the future they have worked for and the one they deserve, a future for which Romania has been, is, and will remain a reliable partner. It is a historic moment, and I am honoured to stand here alongside the teams of Moldovan, Romanian and Member States' diplomats, each of whom has contributed, in their own way, to making this day a reality. Today's decision is the recognition of the work and the reforms undertaken in Chișinău, a merit-based process in which the Republic of Moldova's progress speaks for itself. European integration and the acceleration of reforms remain the strongest guarantee for the security and development of the Republic of Moldova. Romania has stood, and remains, by the side of the Republic of Moldova along this entire journey, including by sharing the lessons learned in our own accession process, through solid economic ties, the connection of our education systems, strategic infrastructure projects, civil-society cooperation, parliamentary diplomacy and, above all, the strong friendship between our peoples. The momentum must continue: all remaining negotiating clusters should be opened as soon as possible. The EU–Republic of Moldova Summit on 22 June will give this path fresh impetus. The future of the Republic of Moldova is, without a doubt, within the European Union. 🇷🇴🇲🇩🇪🇺 The Republic of Moldova applied for EU membership in March 2022 and was granted candidate status in June 2022. In December 2023, the European Council decided to open accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, and in June 2024 the negotiating framework was formally approved, with the first Intergovernmental Conference at political level taking place. Through the Enlargement Package published by the European Commission in October 2025, the Republic of Moldova's readiness to advance the accession process was reconfirmed. The partnerships between our Presidential Administrations and our Governments are strong pillars that have championed Moldova's accession as a key priority.

Today, Ukraine's European path moves forward. We have officially opened Cluster 1 (Fundamentals) in Ukraine's EU accession negotiations, after the process had been held back for nearly two years. Warm congratulations to President @ZelenskyyUa, Prime Minister @Svyrydenko_Y and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration @taraskachka and, above all, to the people of Ukraine, who continue to pursue their European future under the hardest possible conditions, while resisting Russia's war of aggression. This is a merit-based step, earned through reforms carried out in the middle of a war in a spectacular proof of resilience and hope. All EU countries supported today the opening of these negotiations and will continue to actively back Ukraine's European integration. The momentum must continue: all remaining clusters should be have opened negociations as soon as possible as the proper dialogue platform to assess reforms.
