Just been thinking about which libraries people wanted us to support on the Raspberry Pi OS?
Specifically for access to and efficient use of the hardware, so things like, video encode and decode, composition, audio mixing and streaming, Bluetooth, WiFi, hardware interfaces. 1/5
But they can’t do this with wayland currently there isn’t an extension they can use without rewriting the application (it is an X application so uses XWayland). The only way to do it would be to rewrite the application to use wayland directly and use the layer shell protocol4/5
