Open source Kimi Model has already caught up to the top closed source frontier models.
What's the moat? You could argue compute since more of the data centres are in the US, but AI inference is getting cheaper and more efficient.
The only real moat is not having to route your prompts and code through Beijing. Unless you have you're own hardware to run the models yourself.

I’ve been programming for 45 years, since so was 10. I’ve been a pro game coder for 33 years. Everything from hand coded assembly to UE 5.8. The paradigm shift to agentic coding is intoxicating. It is the biggest productivity jump I have ever experienced.

proof of stake is just banking isnt it? a bunch of organisations approving transactions on a network.. banking with extra steps....

One of $BTC's deepest ideas is incentive compatibility:
Design the system so self-interest produces the outcome the system needs.
That is Bitcoin.
Miners want profit → they secure the network.
Node operators want valid Bitcoin → they reject invalid blocks.
Holders want scarcity → they resist dilution.
Hurwicz, Maskin and Myerson won the 2007 Nobel Prize in Economics for foundational work in mechanism design.
Bitcoin launched in 2009.
There is no evidence Satoshi directly borrowed from their work.
But he built the principle into money.
Bitcoin does not require people to be good.
It makes protecting the system economically rational.
all programming languages will converge into a simple english like logical language optimised for LLM usage.
current frontier models still blow me away after more than a decade of writing code.
code is the medium between language and binary. now you can just speak in english (or any language) and get the llm to write the machine code (binary + abstracted).
(hopefully) in the not distance future you can say build me a house and you'll have machines moving matter around in the real world to make this happen.
