Lawyer representing women suing Katt Williams sanctioned for citing fake, AI-hallucinated cases. The lawyer said she was "distracted by other matters and had asked her daughter (who is not an attorney or paralegal) to draft the brief for her." WTF! "An overwhelming majority of the cases cited [in the MSJ] either did not exist ... or misquoted the authority." And after that MSJ, she filed another motion citing a case that "does not appear to exist." At the sanctions hearing, she claimed it was just an accident. She's ordered to notify all her clients about what she did and must file the court's order in all cases in the district for the next 5 years.
