“Why did burning girls matter in Vietnam but not in Gaza?”
The 'Napalm Girl' photo shocked the world and helped end the Vietnam War, writes @JehadAbusalim, but a child surrounded by flames in Gaza can't even provoke a ceasefire.

Just when you think they couldn’t sink any lower, the Israeli government imposed a total blockade on Gaza preventing any food aid or supplies from entering the devastated strip as a form of blatant blackmail. Not only did they renege on the signed 3-phase agreement, they have now torn it to shreds with compound cruelty.
Building a capitalist epicentre over the graves of Gaza’s children. The leader of the so called free world has lost his marbles.

Trump's pledge to "take over" Gaza offered a rare opportunity to hear an American president articulate the logic of Zionism in its rawest, most essential form. The history of Israel is defined by a continuous process of controlling and removing the Palestinian population by force, with the consent and participation of the majority of its Jewish citizens, in order to demographically engineer a Herrenvolk pseudo-democracy. Now, Trump has vowed to carry out the Final Solution on Israel's behalf, and possibly with US troops. Israelis love his genocidal energy, with 80% telling the Jerusalem Post they favor Trump's plan, and only 13% declaring it "immoral." Average Americans might be less enthusiastic about embarking on a foreign ethnic cleansing adventure, but as this episode makes undeniably clear, they are not the ones who determine their government's policy when it comes to the "Jewish and democratic" state.

I can't believe its been 24 years. I remember this so vividly.
I was traumatised by this at the time and, as a new father, I'm even more traumatised now.
Imagine, just imagine, hiding behind a tiny wall, shielding your child for dear life, while for 40 minutes soldiers shoot to kill you both, finally killing your child with a bullet to the stomach, as you sit there, helpless, holding your bleeding, dying child, knowing that could do nothing to protect them and knowing that you can do nothing to save them. Knowing they're gone forever and that you must bear that pain for the rest of your days.
The man lived on.... only to lose his other son and brothers in an Israeli air strike in Gaza recently.
The man is Jamal al-Durrah.
His son was Muhammad al-Durrah.
Know their names.
Israel have cultivated an environment where only blood, war and vengeance can prevail. Israel is not a nation of peace. Not for its own people, not for its neighbours and not for the people they subjugate and oppress on their own land.

Gaza: In the largest and most shameful concentration camp of the 21st century, Israel is genociding the Palestinians one neighborhood at the time, one hospital at the time, one school at the time, one refugee camp at the time, one 'safe zone' at the time. With US and European weapons. And amid the indifference of all "civilised nations".
May the Palestinians forgive us for our collective inability to protect them, honoring the most basic meaning of intl law.

One of these Olympians is a child rapist. The other is a woman the world has deemed not feminine enough.
Only one has been subjected to global hate and humiliation ... And it's not the rapist.
Even when rapists are on the international stage it's women who are destroyed.
No matter what @jk_rowling and her ilk say, Algerian boxer Imane Khelif was born female, grew up female and lives as a woman. And even if she were trans, she has a right to live her life.
Solidarity with this sister Imane - but no solidarity with @jk_rowling.

UN Special Rapporteur Albanese is beyond redemption. Once again she spreads vile hatred and abuses the memory of the Holocaust.
It is inconceivable that @FranceskAlbs is still allowed to use the @UN as a shield to spread antisemitism.
