🇷🇺 You know things have gone terribly wrong when Russian propaganda starts citing U.S. officials to back up Kremlin talking points. Olga Skabeeva must be having the time of her life! 😂

🎯 Russia is a failed nation, a terror state, a mafia pretending to be a country, a people infected with an imperial virus, a gas station with nukes that barely has any gas left, a Chinese vassal that needs perpetual war to stay intact. It should be quarantined, not elevated.

Recently a friend asked me where I find the energy to be here. It's not the first time I have been asked this question and it's been asked in several formats like, "why Ukraine?" etc. There are a few core reasons for me. For one, my family history, what the russians did in Lithuania to my family, and my great grandmother was born in Dnipropetrovsk. It is a main source of motivation. Another is that there are friends and family who have died during my time here that I promised I would carry on for. Then there are those that my unit and I have helped during medevac and stabilization point work who write to me or us during their healing journey and show their progress after injury. If I was not here, I would not be able to help and there would be one less set of hands during an already painful shortage of medics. In university I studied political science and history. I developed a solid understanding of russian imperialistic tactics and the understanding that their blood thirst runs deep and they will destroy everything in their path to achieve the objective, including their own people. This is another reason why I do not understand how anyone could ever be pro russian. And at the core of American values is fighting for and protecting freedom. Somewhere along the way, the American government has forgotten this. But I have not. When someone invades a country and tries to take what does not belong to them, it is natural to defend it. This place has also become a part of me and has become home over the years Finding the energy comes from drawing on all of these things together and also knowing that giving up just isn't an option because those I serve with do not have this option. If they do not, then neither do I. On the really hard days, my energy comes from those around me that I serve with. We keep each other going. The strength that is found in brotherhood will always give you what you need to continue.

Afghanistan became the beginning of the end of the USSR. Ukraine will become the end of russia.
Russia loves to claim that it has "never lost a war," conveniently memory-holing Afghanistan. In 1979, the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, starting a brutal, bloody war that lasted almost 10 years. After losing around 15,000 Soviet soldiers (half of what they lose in a month in Ukraine) and failing to defeat the resistance, the Soviets finally withdrew in 1989. They came as conquerors and left as losers. The same will happen in Ukraine.

This is Chris Manson, an ordinary American who has done something extraordinary for Ukraine. Chris is not a billionaire. He is not a politician. He is not a celebrity. He is a former firefighter who works in healthcare. In 2022, his 7-year-old daughter Lily asked him a simple question: “Daddy, can we do something to help Ukraine?” He could have told her that Ukraine was thousands of miles away. That there was little they could do. That it was someone else’s problem. Instead, he decided to act. In March 2022, Chris founded US Ambulances for Ukraine. On March 29, the first ambulance was on its way to Ukraine. What started with one ambulance became something extraordinary. 125 ambulances, fire trucks, and rescue vehicles have now been sent to Ukraine. These vehicles are saving lives. They are helping Ukrainian soldiers, doctors, firefighters, and rescue workers. They are evacuating the wounded and bringing help to people whose lives have been shattered by russia’s war. One little girl asked her father a question. And because he decided to act, countless Ukrainians have received help when they needed it most. Chris has no intention of stopping. He plans to continue helping Ukraine for as long as necessary. There are people who have billions of dollars, enormous political power, and millions of followers. And then there are people like Chris Manson, who simply see suffering and decide to do something about it. You don’t need to be rich or powerful to make a difference. You just need to care enough to act. Thank you, Chris Manson. Thank you for showing what true American generosity looks like. Ukraine will never forget your kindness.

Madam, as a neighbour of both Ukraine and Russia, we would be delighted to support @POTUS in peace negotiations. Please note, however, that to get to a deal pressure should be put on the aggressor and not on the victim of aggression.

Zelenskyy: "When our strikes reached Yandex data centers, it suddenly became little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. Many people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, fewer provocations because there were fewer bots. It's pretty clear where those bots were coming from. If they disappeared when Yandex went offline, this proves once again that Europe is not the source of the problems." The big problem is that Russia figured out how modern society consumes information a decade ago, but the West hasn't. There are millions of bots commenting and posting Russian propaganda. There are paid influencers spreading it, with Russian bots supporting their content. There is a gigantic machine operating to radicalize and influence Western societies, and there is not enough defense in place. It doesn't just influence elections, it sows discord, engulfs societies in culture wars, radicalizes teenagers, and shapes political decisions when elected officials fail to read the room. That needs to change. And fast.

At some point, we will have to blame Mearsheimer, Sachs, and their fellow travelers for much more than just peddling wrong explanations and misleading people. These guys have influence in policy circles, their words have policy consequences. They are partly responsible for policies that are based on their explanations. The U.S. has now said no NATO membership for Ukraine — and the Russians didn’t even bother to thank it. The U.S. has pursued deescalation — and the Kremlin merely escalated in return. The U.S. has offered lucrative deals to Moscow — and the Russians have not offered anything at all. The U.S. denigrated and pressured Zelenskyy multiple times — and the Kremlin just clapped. The U.S. pulled Putin out of increasing international isolation by rolling out the red carpet for him in Alaska — and the Kremlin just used “the spirit of Alaska” to support its demands for Ukraine to capitulate. The Russians still demand all of Donbas just to start talking. And the reason for all these failure is rather simple: the U.S. keeps offering things that should appeal to the Russians under the Mearsheimer/Sachs explanation of the war but don’t. Because their explanation is fundamentally and irretrievably wrong. The moment you ditch the Mearshemer/Sachs framework, everything will immediately fall into place and you will understand why all these initiatives never had any chance of success. Putin wants to subjugate Ukraine. That’s the starting point. From this, it follows that he does not want it in NATO. It follows that he does not want it to have an army. It follows that he does not want it to have an independent government. But, you might say, this is consistent with the other framework too. It is. But the imperialist explanation also tells you why Putin is fixated on territories, why he insists on taking Donbas, and why no economic and security concessions work on him. It tells you why all these talks will never work. Mearsheimer is reduced to blubbering utter gibberish when confronted with that reality. After denying expansionist motives for years, he had to bow to reality and so began to claim — without a shred of evidence — that the territorial demands came only after the invasion. That’s despite the Kremlin officially annexing Donetsk and Luhansk even before the invasion, and Putin ceaselessly talking about subjugation and territory. These people are immoral hacks who, to our collective dismay, have long had access and influence in Washington (and elsewhere). Their ideas are partly responsible for the failures of our foreign policy, with the consequences we now face. Their vacuous insistence on peace and blaming the West for Russia’s aggression — along with their incessant clamor for talking to Moscow and normalizing relations — are contributing directly to the prolongation of the war. They embolden the Kremlin to persist and escalate in the expectation that the West would buckle because enough people come to believe these charlatans. These people have the blood of hundreds of thousands on their hands.

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day. Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine. As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia. America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration. Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. 70% of Americans support Ukraine. Propping up Putin’s war economy is morally wrong as he uses that money to bomb cities. The President’s policies towards Russia and Ukraine are failures. We need moral clarity not moral ambiguity.

Just a reminder it was exactly three months ago that Trump promised Ukraine its own license to build Patriot Interceptors and one month since the Lindsey Graham tariff bill was signed. How’s all that support for Ukraine going, Trump apologists?
