Fear mongering? All the vendors are fixing this and we are working round the clock to ensure all our systems are safe! Whoever tweeted or authorized this tweet should be fired! Indian Government IT ministry is good for nothing when it comes to cybersecurity

However, some social media accounts are indulging in fear mongering about the impact of this incident. The facts of the case are as follows:
eMudhra operates in two distinct areas:
@AshwiniVaishnaw - Each and every major software vendor is mentioning eMudhra and having fixes to stop the certificates issued by them., It's bad name for India as a whole., Anyone from Govt who is awarding contracts from now on to eMudhra should be branded as a traitor! Have never seen such slackness in security! No "4" as their private certificate?

What has been committed by the turds of eMudhra is a 26/11 equivalent digital disaster.
This entity should be finished off. Anybody who was linked to this fiasco should never get into a position of responsibility in cybersecurity. The officials who allowed this entity to win so much government business should be pulled up.
Our country cannot fool around in this manner when we are pushing digitalization in practically all domains of business, government and citizen services.

This is one of the differences that makes SpaceX a great company!
A retired NASA engineer who had worked on the Space Shuttle program for 25 years was hired by SpaceX at age 62. He described the first week as the most disorienting experience of his professional life.
At NASA, a design change required 3 meetings, 2 committees, a review board, and 6 to 18 months of documentation. At SpaceX, his new supervisor said "if it works, build it. If it doesn't, change it by Friday."
He sat at his desk after the first day and called his wife. He told her he felt like a man who had been swimming with ankle weights for 25 years and someone just cut them off. He could move. He could decide. He could build something in the morning and test it in the afternoon. The constraint that he had accepted as the nature of aerospace engineering turned out to be the nature of bureaucracy.
Within 6 months he had contributed to more design iterations than he had completed in his last 5 years at NASA. Not because he was working harder. Because the time between having an idea and testing the idea collapsed from months to hours. The same brain. The same knowledge. A different operating system.
He described a specific moment where he proposed a modification to a Raptor engine component. At NASA, the proposal would have entered a queue. At SpaceX, the modification was machined by the end of the day and tested by the following morning. He watched his idea become a physical object in 18 hours. At NASA, 18 hours would not have been enough to schedule the first meeting to discuss whether to schedule a meeting.
He told an interviewer: "I didn't get smarter when I went to SpaceX. I got faster. The intelligence was always there. The system was in the way."
The difference between SpaceX and NASA is not talent. NASA has extraordinary talent. The difference is the time between a thought and a test. SpaceX compresses it. NASA elongates it. The same engineer produces 10x more at SpaceX than at NASA because the bottleneck was never the engineer. It was the meetings about the meetings about the work.
Jio is so entrenched in India and it will be difficult to dislodge them from the Indian internet market.Currently from a user persepective I see no incentive to switch to starlink comes as the speeds are comparable between Jio and Starlink and most us connect Internet through mobile towers (Hotspot/AirFiber)
When compared with US, India has 4 times the mobile towers which indicates we are well connected and using which most of us access internet!
Having said these I am not sure why Starlink was not given approval till now as Govt is afraid it can be used for nefarious purposes or Airtel/Jio might be preventing it?(Airtel has got more to lose if Starlink is approved)
@elonmusk - When compared with Jio., starlink is more pricier and give me one reason why I should switch to starlink as we have got mobile towers all around the country except in very few places through which we can connect to Internet (And the speeds are also comparable 100Mbps vs Starlink's20-200Mbps)
