Former PM and candidate @GabrielAttal just went on French TV to propose a "primary" between leading left and right centrist candidates before the first round - so as to avoid a second round run-off between far left and far right Mélenchon and Le Pen, which all the polls indicate would be the case as things stand
For the moment there are a whole bunch of candidates in the moderate left, right and centre who will all cancel each other out in the first round as none have the numbers of the two extreme candidates
Trying to explain to OH that her Chromebook isn't allowing certain transactions (online purchases) cos it's run out of Google update ability & its security therefore stops her.
She's convinced it's the bank.
She doesn't trust phone for buying so won't use that method!

👆 OH's current chromebook is an Acer 515 of 2019 vintage. She loves it too much. It's perfect for her. Youtube, browsing, socials etc. Nowt heavy.
Xmas is coming.
New Acer 516 Plus (i5) will fix everything. She'll love it even more.
