Not wearing a shirt makes it awkward when you’re hot and take the hoodie off in public, like in the middle of a store. Not that I have personal experience with this or anything…😬

I know. Right? That kills me when I think of people that are close to my normal orbit. What are they going to say to me? Makes me want to be better and do better.

Agree. I mostly try to engage people who are good faith actors or willing to discuss topics in a civil discourse. I also think about the other people who might read a misleading post after the fact. It’s this cross section of conversations where I tend to need this counsel.

Ugh. Tedious. I probably blocked you for a response like this on another post. Regretting this now - I should have gone with my initial response and trusted whatever made me decide to block you was for good reason. Muted (simply because I expect you’re looking to score another Internet win from the jaws of X doom posting.

If I blocked you, it was for some reason. I dont owe you a reason but I generally don’t block unless someone uses foul language, proves to be a bad actor, says something really offensive, or is a negative influence so much that I decide I don’t need to read thier garbage. I don’t remember why I blocked you, but it wasn’t for the content of this post. I don’t even know you so if I saw something else, I could have easily reacted independently of this conversation, and likely did. When I saw your post asking for a voice to respond, I decided to unblock you to give you asked for, and was generally confused why you were blocked. Again, I don’t know you from Adam and generally think of accounts in terms of single post issues unless we’ve traded enough comments for you to become familiar. You have a voice, as you asked.

Protestants can never get away from their dependence on the Catholic church- they rely on its authority for their scripture canon, theology, ritual, etc. They can start something new… But they’ll never replace the church with a book the church gave them
The “canon conundrum” is a fatal flaw of sola scriptura The canon simply didn’t form the way Protestants claim If it did, the first NT canon list wouldn’t be from 367 AD And there wouldn’t be 5 different authoritative OT canons today

One of the more entertaining aspects of being a Latter-day Saint on X is discovering all the things we’re apparently supposed to believe. 😂 Every day, someone confidently explains our theology to us, announces they’ve discovered a devastating contradiction, and then celebrates defeating a religion that exists entirely in their imagination. Meanwhile, we’re over here believing that ALL people are children of God, that His light reaches every nation, and that truth and goodness can be found among Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Buddhists, and countless others. We rejoice when anyone draws closer to God, wherever they are on that journey. We believe in continuing revelation, eternal progression, the divine potential of humanity, and a loving Heavenly Father who hasn’t forgotten a single one of His children. It’s a remarkably beautiful and hopeful theology. But please, tell us again how we don’t believe in Jesus. 😂 To my fellow Latter-day Saints: Keep sharing the light. Keep loving your neighbors. Keep finding truth wherever it exists. And to our critics: You’re always welcome to disagree with our beliefs. We’d just appreciate it if you’d learn what they are first. ❤️
JSH 1:19 is in direct opposition to your 11th article of faith. In other words, one of those is a lie. Which one?

Weird flex. So… at least your your god doesn’t damn 1/3 of his children to eternal hell fire and brimstone …he just creates billions of sentient “creatures” and damns the vast majority of them (at least the billions and billions that don’t profess Jesus the same way you do) to eternal hell fire and damnation. Sorry. I’ll keep my God. That one sounds like Satan.

Do Mormons not understand that Christianity doesn’t believe we are the literal children of God but creatures? Do you lack the ability to distinguish between the punishment of creatures and a father torturing his literal children? Amazing the depth of depravity it takes to believe in Mormonism.
