Seems pretty clear they made a money-laundering deal with a known drug trafficker with the prime minister's blessing. Hence, hundreds of days of protests.

Now the country is talking about @scott_colom in Mississippi, while @jamieforlouisiana came within 25,000 votes in Louisiana.
I made the case directly to DNC Chair Ken Martin in April, after raising the same concerns on @joyannreid.
The Deep South doesn’t lack voters. It lacks investment.

Democratic Rep. Shomari Figures just won a huge upset victory in Alabama's 2nd congressional district.
This was a district that the Alabama GOP specifically gerrymandered to oust Figures after the Supreme Court dismantled the Voting Rights Act.
But Black voters turned out in huge numbers to counteract that decision.
