How much power does the Raspberry Pi 4B use compared to other models? New blog post with chart and table...

What software do people use to create Gcode from a .DXF? (preferably something I can run on a Mac or a Pi)
I may or may not have a new toy that speaks GRBL. ;p
So after airbrushing Donald Duck on one side of my MTB helmet, I needed Papa Smurf on the other side. At only 45mm high. Would be tricky to spray a cartoon character much smaller

A bit of playtime in the workshop. Laser cut masking tape stencils. Quite fiddly at this size (only 45mm high) but managed to airbrush Donald Duck onto my MTB helmet.
What do you do when you see someone with their nose poking out of their mask in an environment where masks are compulsory?

Here's an airbrush project I've been working on over the last three weeks or so (not all the time). Quite pleased with how it's turned out.
Learn to cherish your workshop 'down-time'. Put some nice music on and tidy up, sweep the floor, organise your tools, sort out the components and actually work ON the workshop. Trust me, it's very therapeutic and it won't be long before you have an idea worthy of some enthusiasm
Glad to see some sensible, realistic journalism about our current predicament appearing today. I still don't think a lot of people 'get it' yet (the people in Lidl this morning certainly didn't)

"Protect the NHS" is a slogan that not enough people can relate to. The message should be...
"Don't kill your granny"
"Don't kill your dad"
"Don't kill the sick"
"Stay away from people"
"This virus could kill 500k in the UK"
People care about NHS when they need it, not before.

It hasn't escaped my notice that @AdamJKucharski tweets are going viral (ooh the irony). But, as an epidemiologist who models pandemics, he knows what he's talking about and people need to hear the message, so well worth a follow.

I watched this @FryRsquared documentary recently. Highly recommended, very topical, and I believe some of the data collected are being used to model various UK scenarios.
If outside UK, you'd need to use a VPN/proxy to access it, but obvs I can't condone that heinous crime.

Good call. Hard decision. But it is the responsible and correct thing to do. My octogenarian parents will thank you for your social responsibility. Not to mention all other vulnerable groups.
#PiWars 2020 has been postponed - full statement is here: piwars.org/2020-competition/…
We are very sad to announce this but feel it is in the best interests of everybody and that it is inevitable.
Yesterday I managed to ride solo 100 miles on my bike. (It was a goal I'd set for 2019 which will soon be over).
I would definitely do it again, but ideally in less windy and a bit warmer conditions.
