🇲🇩🇺🇦 MOLDOVA AND UKRAINE SIGN FIVE-YEAR DEFENCE AGREEMENT
Moldova and Ukraine signed a five-year military-technical cooperation agreement in Kyiv on October 26, focusing on counter-drone capabilities, air defence and joint defence projects.
The agreement includes:
• Access to Ukraine's battlefield-tested technologies and expertise in countering drones.
• Joint defence research, development and potential military production.
• Cooperation on cybersecurity, surveillance and airspace protection.
• Modernisation, maintenance and testing of military equipment.
• Protection of critical infrastructure.
Notably, Moldova's Defence Minister said that the country has recorded more than 100 airspace violations since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Moldova is particularly interested in Ukraine's relatively inexpensive, combat-proven counter-drone solutions.
The agreement can be automatically extended after five years and does not alter Moldova's constitutional neutrality.
No specific equipment transfers have been announced.

After last night’s Russian ballistic missile attack, the Southern Bridge was damaged, metro service is disrupted, and traffic across the bridge is currently suspended.

New images from Kyiv show a crater in a residential courtyard. Ambulances sit beside fallen debris, and smoke rises beneath a partially collapsed roof. Russia's ballistic attack has killed one person and injured at least 10.
The strike hit university grounds. It damaged an academic building, dormitories and nearby homes. Two medical facilities in Dniprovskyi district were damaged; patients and staff were unharmed. Mayor Klitschko says a strike damaged metro infrastructure on the South Bridge, closing traffic in both directions.

Local media report that students from Kyiv’s State University of Trade and Economics have died after failing to reach shelter from Dormitory No. 5 in time.
Students should be able to sleep and study without having to race for cover. Russia’s attacks on Kyiv have made even the distance from a dormitory to a shelter a matter of life and death. For these students, there was not enough time.

BIG | 🇺🇦🇩🇪‼️‼️ Ukrainian Special Operations Forces have received German-made Heckler & Koch G95 assault rifles, bringing a modern weapons platform selected by the Bundeswehr into the hands of Ukraine’s elite military units.
According to Militarny, Ukrainian special forces personnel have begun using the G95, a 5.56×45 mm assault rifle belonging to the Heckler & Koch HK416 family. One Ukrainian operator praised its smooth trigger, manageable recoil, ease of maintenance, and reliability in everyday use. Germany selected rifles from the same family as part of the Bundeswehr’s transition away from the G36 platform. The exact number of rifles delivered to Ukraine and the military assistance package through which they were supplied remain unknown.
The arrival of G95 rifles gives Ukrainian special operations personnel access to a weapons platform with an established record among elite military units internationally. Its significance lies in the combination of handling, reliability, and compatibility with widely used NATO ammunition. Although the scale of the delivery remains unclear, the acquisition reflects Ukraine’s continued integration of modern Western small arms into its specialized combat formations.
