I haven’t seen a newly turned HEEL get this kind of booking in a while.
The issue isn’t just that Lyra tapped out to Bayley to close out the feud. It’s the overall direction since she turned heel in June. She beat Bayley twice early on, but outside of that she’s mostly been losing the matches that matter.
Now Bayley got the big win to close out the feud, and Lyra earned nothing at the end. Bayley should've won the first or second match, and it should have been Lyra with the last drop of BLOOD in this rivalry.
The character has potential, but the booking keeps undercutting it. I doubt they have any bigger plan for heel Lyra, and I won’t be surprised if she starts eating pins again next week.
