Please follow @msediewyatt 's new account. Feminism is not a dirty word, it's not owned or defined by any one faction. Women's lives would be much worse off without it and our work is far from done, especially on a global scale.

Israel’s recent election saw Arab citizens (mostly Muslim, ~21% of the population) turn out in record numbers, giving their parties around 19 seats and creating a deadlock neither main bloc wants to break by partnering with them over core differences on the country’s identity.
It shows how a large minority voting as a bloc can reshape politics, a dynamic Western countries with growing Muslim populations and integration gaps should watch closely.

No it isn't. It's no more "tricky" than it is for anyone else.
This idea is trotted out over and over again in the UK; that disabled men should be given sex as part of their care needs. It's often suggested that this should be paid for by the state.
It makes me furious.
Disabled men have no more 'right to sex' than anyone else and I seriously resent anyone saying we do.

One of the most shocking aspects of the transgender takeover of women's rights in Europe is that at an EU level, almost nobody is aware that it's going on.
The very people who are voting to queer EU law and policy aren't even aware they are doing it.
Brussels media has largely complied with the activist-enforced omerta on discussing it. The bureaucrats themselves, the ones responsible for the erasure of sex in law (particularly via strategic litigation projects) don't want anyone to know what they are up to.

When we were talking with MEPs in May this year, they seemed shocked to hear about the far-reaching gender identity policies across Europe, and the defamation and dangers faced by women who speak out against them.
Now we are bringing these women's testimonies into the public spotlight. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱.

Men in West Africa want to have sex with little girls with breast buds, so the girls’ mothers heat up stones and hammers and try to flatten out their daughters’ developing breast tissue. This happens to millions of little girls in Africa.
The custom is intended to keep the girls from getting pregnant for as long as possible. Ten-year-old mothers die in childbirth.
Mothers are the ones held responsible for the “dishonour” of the girls getting pregnant (while the honour of a good girl belongs to the family generally).
All the former (wanting to have sex with a child with secondary sex characteristics, doing something brutal to protect your offspring from becoming a mother too young) seems really animalistic to me. But then the “honour” stuff is pure culture layered on top of it. Like some kind of half animal, half civilised thing. Maybe everything is. It’s all hardware with a fancy doily on it.

A very interesting thread and I agree with almost all of it. You're wrong about JCJ though, she's only out for power and if she'd stop attacking women and lying about them we'd have almost no infighting, and most importantly 'GC' women might be more open to listening to the points you are making.

No Jane isn’t trying to do any of that. People are capable of looking at context and using the same trans activist rhetoric “look what is coming for you” = you’ll be next! When these lot are obsessed with “freedom” of Palestine (which would set the rights of all women and gay people in the territory back to the Stone Age) while apparently utterly oblivious to the *proximate and very real* threat of radical (sorry it’s not. It’s ultra conservative) Islam, is insanity.
The “far right” are what you pander to. The ultra conservative Islamic groups are far right.
