Sports fans make me sympathize for cult leaders. At some point, the cult leaders are victims when people twist themselves into a pretzel to benefit you.
Wanting your team to lose doesn't mean you want them not to be good. They already aren't good, so you want them to lose.

If you want to know how easy it will be for the Colts to trade away all-pro players and replace them with draft picks? Ask the 49ers. Who traded Buckner in 2020 and 6 years later are trading to get him back. Ignore the 50 draft picks they spent whiffing on DT’s
Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

This why I quit fandom years ago lol Colts giving away all-pro players for draft picks. No proven track record of teams purging their roster and then rebuilding great teams but fans/media/teams always wanna do it

Relationship vs sex is a boring convo anyway. Both are neutral requests that people seek personal benefit from. The problem is ppl think wanting a relationship makes you morally superior and it doesn’t at all
I really hate how people like you act as if men are inherently averse to relationships and that sex is final objective. The vast majority of men also crave relationships and romance, but most men are seen as invisible/interchangeable and experience neither.

Men propose and buy wedding rings but stereotypes are stronger than reality, so nobody questions why women don’t dominate these practices if they are the relationship focused ones

Women/girls are largely exempt from violence. The data is self evident. So who does it help to promote otherwise? Who does it help to use gender as an abstraction leaving material explanations like imperialism unnamed?

The UN making it obvious for you that “gendered” violence is a liberal abstraction which serves empire and upholds gender The 3/4 boys and men killed is normal and ok because violence is a “man thing”

Black people would have access. Any time you find yourself wanting to ask a question like this about America, ask yourself if Black people would have access to it and it’ll explain why we don’t have it. Healthcare, education, housing, transportation, it’s a very simple concept
i know it’s been said a million times but american infrastructure is so pathetic. like why is there no high speed rail between nyc and chicago that’s a 9 hour drive and you’d be connecting the top gdp cities in the country

Here are Sean Salisbury's stats at USC. These are the people trying to tell you there is a qb development problem. You're a damn fool if you listen to them.
QB Development is getting worse not better. The offseason hype is better than the in-season substance.

Puppet reporter who does stenography for anonymous front office execs is reporting that front office execs are just poor helpless victims to college football and that they can't be responsible for scouting.
Got a text from another personnel executive this morning, noting that this is the third straight QB class that has had similar problems.

When friends are having a party or event, you're tired and don't feel like going but you go anyway cuz that's the homie. Is that duty friendship? do we fear friendship infidelity? do we feel less desirable than other friends? The entire premise is ridiculous
Why do people sometimes engage in “duty sex?” A new study finds that it’s more common among those who fear partner infidelity, feel less desirable than their partner, or score higher in neuroticism. Duty sex was unrelated to gender or relationship length. journals.sagepub.com/doi/ful…

Unhelpful framing and calling it "duty sex" is loaded with moral judgement. Everyday we have to do stuff we don't really feel like doing but because it's not sex, those activities are free from being judged under a lens of morality or purity

Can somebody explain football to me? I don't understand it. Sam Darnold can put up great passing numbers but Mahomes can't? I am very confused as to why that is.

Hmmm. I wonder what changed with the Chiefs passing offense after 2022? Does anybody know this unsolvable mystery? We should gather the top scientists and mathematicians from all over the world to figure out Mahomes decline in production.
A dumb/simple explanation for why QBs like Patrick Mahomes are no longer putting up video game numbers

There is this weird aversion people have to actually watching football, basketball, etc and because of that we are inundated with these god awful tweets Hot takes driven by sports show pundits. Or idiots pretending to be smart by throwing around "math" and "science"

“If there was baby mama drama and we were going back and forth, that would be more supported than this community of us all getting along together and supporting the kids”
Cam’ron and Ma$e asked Arabia to EXPLAIN the relationship dynamic between her, her baby daddy NFL player Matthew Judon, and his GIRLFRIEND while they all live under the SAME ROOF, before Judon made a SURPRISE APPEARANCE 😭💀

They not even in a non-monogamous relationship and y’all lame asses was screaming and fainting. They live together for the sake of the kids. But like I say, nobody gives a shit about children. Sexual control is the goal of monogamy.

Replying to @RayTheGrouch
Remarkable clip. Not only is he wrong but he contradicts himself in the first 2 sentences. If capitalism was the market allocating resources to control supply and demand, then a corporations suppressing competition is capitalism because corporations are instruments of the market.

A lot of words to say nothing. The Soviets didn’t fully understand the power of Gosbank and that it could fund all of its goals. China didn’t make this mistake with their central bank! And the Soviets never had a cultural revolution causing traitorous post-Stalin leadership
One of Xi Jinping's first acts as China's leader was to ask an audience of senior officials why the Soviet Union had collapsed. It was January 2013, at the Central Party School, and he was speaking to the incoming class of the Central Committee. His speech wasn't published until 2019. He found the answer in ideology. The Soviets, he said, completely negated their own history, negated Lenin, negated Stalin, and thinking was thrown into confusion. Party branches stopped doing anything, he continued, and the military slipped out of the party's control. The result, he said, was that a party that big scattered like birds and beasts, and a country that big fell apart. Kevin Rudd (@MrKRudd), a former prime minister of Australia who got an Oxford PhD on Xi, quotes such passages in a 2022 essay that Foreign Affairs republished last week. His argument is that although Xi may not be a Stalin, he certainly isn't a Gorbachev: the last Soviet leader, who let the party's history be openly criticized and then saw the party fall apart. For 30 years, China watchers in the West believed that ideology died with Deng Xiaoping, who told a party meeting in 1981 to stop arguing about theory. As China got richer, the thinking went, it would loosen up. Xi concluded the opposite. In that January speech, he said that the Mao and market eras should not be contrasted to discredit one or the other. It was a party's repudiation of its own history that caused the Soviet party to collapse, he believed. Only two days into office, he told the Politburo that faith is like calcium in a communist's soul. Without it, you get rickets. Then he acted on what he had learned from the Soviet collapse: a decade of purges, reasserting party control of the military, a study campaign for all party members. So as the West waited for a Chinese Gorbachev, Xi's first lesson in power was that Gorbachev is the way a communist party dies. All that he has built since then makes sense as an attempt to avoid that fate.

BREAKING: Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams has a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula; Cason Wallace has a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both will undergo surgery and be sidelined for several months -- most, if not the entire season.
