I'm sad to read a story like this because I know we can be better as a community. Rather than building a new jail for our boys, we should be asking how we can build new schools and other community amenities to serve them equitably. We must INVEST in our young people. #WeAreEBR
Three boys threatened staff members and ripped out ceiling tiles at the Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center on Thursday. The event prompted concerns about the outdated facility with some suggesting it be torn down and rebuilt to modern standards. theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/…

I was honored to have the opportunity to share some wisdom with Freshman Academy students at Madison Prep earlier this week! After hearing from these young people, I know our future is bright. I'm proud to support our schools, students, and families. #StrongerTogether #WeAreEBR

As a #veteran, I carry on a legacy of service passed down through generations. I joined @USMC and served with @4th_MarDiv. My grandfather served in WWII, my dad went to @AF_Academy, & 2 of my brothers also served in the military. Happy #VeteransDay to all! secure.anedot.com/voters4ray…
