Welcome to RAZORWIRE. New Flesh, Old Dust. Deep in a valley on a nameless planet, a putrid mutated humanity struggles to survive. Horrific disfigured flesh clashes with bio-tech engineered technology. Cowboy boots slide in the blood of puritans and villains alike. An uneasy blood red sky washes overhead. The chattering teeth of gibbering cannibals croak in the hills, whilst soft folk echoes from farmsteads below. A huge festering wound of a city pumps out smog and vice. All the while, hungry skeletal ravagers wait in the dark. Facebook: facebook.com/Razorlands/ Youtube: youtube.com/@Razorlands/vide…

I honestly think this is the key reason we get so much of this Reddit/Millennial Chungus writing: fear. It's hard to write a good joke. It's hard to write a character with heart. If you don't try, you can't fail.

I also think that reddit chungus writing comes primarily from a place of fear of sincerity. Christ I hope that shit goes the way of the Dodo.

Man, getting a character like Coen of Laslea in this climate is a miracle. Coen is earnest, heroic and written with incredible sincerity. He'a not another wise cracking redditor's wet dream. He's human and naive, which makes sense as the dude is only 20. Amazing writing.

Every time I think of how awful the characters were in Veilguard, I reflect on how amazing the characters are in Dawnwalker. Nuanced, rich, sincerely written characters performed with grace and tact.

Characters are endearing, but have their agency and motivations outside Coen's and consistently lie to him. Which is okay, because that's what people do and you can hold them accountable.

Bro, even Lacra is originally written as this "Cold Hearted Bitch" stereotype, but they effortlessly present her as the dangerous extreme of Vampirism and she's also very charismatic and mysterious. As an good NPC should be.

Keep making games like these and keep watching game companies die. Doesn't matter if they are made to or want to, no one wants this shit

Already seeing the usual types blaming fans for the death of BioWare. Keep in mind BioWare Management and EA drove out all their best creative talent a decade ago. Anthem failed. Andromeda and Veilguard were both poorly written and designed. You don't get to blame us anymore.
