I know almost everybody is focused on the TV part of this, but I’m pulling for Erik Bremer to get the newly vacant radio gig. He’s been their Double-A broadcaster for the last 5 years.
The Marlins are making major changes to their broadcast team entering 2027, Fish On First has learned.

@RealEly says the 2025 draft pick could force his way into the Marlins’ MLB picture as soon as next season.
David Justice ranks 4th all time in MLB postseason games played. Would’ve taken me like 200 guesses to come up with that.
Nice treat that Glendale home games have Statcast. Especially excited to get Dillon Lewis’ data after a whole season in a non-Statcast league.
There's October baseball for Marlins fans, too. Ely discusses each of the organization's Arizona Fall League selections and explains why we could be treated to a unique international winter ball season. dlvr.it/TVmFVt #marlins #miami #FightinFish

Cam Schlittler in 6 career starts against the Red Sox, including playoffs:
0.47 ERA
11.41 K/9
Since ERA became official in both leagues in 1913, no other MLB pitcher has had a sub-0.50 ERA & 11.00+ K/9 over his first 6 career starts against any opponent (reg & post).

In his final postgame interview, José Fernández speaks about the Marlins competing for a playoff spot, staying healthy throughout the 2016 season and his friendship with Barry Bonds.
Spent some time analyzing Jacob Kisting (from the Liam Hicks trade).
Reminds me of a taller Janson Junk. fishonfirst.com/news-rumors/…
Still got concerns about Sanoja’s swing decisions and overall instincts, but gotta consider a deal if the price is low enough. Pretty rare skill set and he’ll keep outslugging his exit velos if he pulls so many of his fly balls.
Javier Sanoja is establishing himself as a key cog in the Marlins lineup. How much would it cost to sign him through the prime of his career? dlvr.it/TVNXPS #marlins #miami #FightinFish

$520 per ticket to see Ryan Gusto pitch is a great value. I’d be pissed too if something like this happened.

How big is each organization's pro scouting department?
Asked around and went through all the media guides to try and compile a snapshot.
It's not perfect, these numbers are not exact and some teams (MIL) use same people for amateur/pro side, but hopefully this is instructive.
That’s Jack Ralston’s music
#Marlins manager Clayton McCullough told us that Anthony Bender reported soreness in the shin.
“Got him back here with our medical group to take a look, talk it through with Anthony, and see how we want to best move forward with that.”
🥳
Marlins are calling up relief pitcher Jack Ralston from AAA. When he gets in it will be his big league debut. Will have more from Manager Clayton McCullough on the move on pregame at 1 PM marlins.tv

Tough year for the Mets, but still a very smart front office.
Recent 9-3 stretch was killing their 2027 draft lottery odds. Calling up Morel will get them back on track.
