May our prayers for others always outweigh our criticism of others. It's not about silencing our voice, it's about directing our voice. "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you..." (Mt 5:44)

Happy Thanksgiving Friends. I am praying that today is one in which you are able to experience the fullness of God’s goodness in your lives! I hope that your your hearts, your souls...and your bellies... are all filled with the 'good stuff’. Give thanks, our God is indeed good!

The hearts of those we vehemently fight against are the same hearts Jesus vehemently fought for. There is a lot of room for disagreement; but not disrespect. While many are divided by intellect and position; compassion and respect in disagreement will continue to point to Jesus.

As Jesus’ people, what is it to be relevant in today’s culture? To share truth in a world a absent of it. To present hope in a world void of it.

So. Much. Hurt. All I can do each time I see another one of these devastating moments in the news is cry out to Jesus. Praying Psalm 34:18 comes alive for the hurting. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

When the pain of life collides with the reality of Jesus, hope happens.

The missteps of those of us who follow Jesus do not dilute His message; rather reinforce that His message is for all of us.

All is quiet. All is still. Heaven is counting down.

Whatever you have to give up to follow Jesus, I promise you it pales next to what He gave up for you. No greater sacrifice has the world ever seen. No greater love has the world ever known.

Don’t be overcome by what you can't; rather find hope and be encouraged by what God can.
