Goodness gracious. Our wedding was in 2010. In Rhinebeck, New York. No taxpayer funds courtesy of President Obama or anyone. I’m sure 2014 in every season was beautiful in the Rose Garden!

Many vaccine myths are hard to counter because they start with something real. That kernel gets stretched into a claim that sounds plausible but is not true. Take myocarditis. The kernel is in the official safety data: documented after mRNA vaccines, concentrated in young males after dose 2, usually mild. The extension turned it into “hidden,” “widespread,” and something that happens to everyone who was vaccinated. None of that is supported by the same data. The audience was already primed. Years of earlier claims made the stretched version easy to accept. It sticks because falsehoods spread farther and faster than truths on Twitter (Vosoughi et al., Science, 2018). Part of why it will not go away is that it pays. Some of the people pushing these claims sell something: subscriptions, supplements, donations, attention. Outrage earns followers. After the fact technical corrections do not. Not everyone repeating them is a grifter. Many are sincere. The incentives still keep the supply coming. That is why a lack of human moderation makes it impossible to solve. cc @elonmusk

Tracing 238 antivax claims to their origins. A thread 🧵 that lays out where they came from, who pushed them, how they spread, and how they became one interconnected narrative. Please share it. Especially with the followers of the people who built and amplified these claims. They deserve to see the full pattern, not just the claim they were sold.

I just watched a woman tie for 5th place on a swimming competition and make her entire career a grift off that experience. Holy moly. I forgot how pathetic MAGA is.

Interesting. A national cohort study of 28 million individuals found: No increased risk of 4-year all-cause mortality in individuals aged 18 to 59 years in persons vaccinated against COVID-19. It's almost like antivaxers are liars and had no evidence... jamanetwork.com/journals/jam…

You know, Cartland, you really are the most disgusting, malicious shithead - Tim Read was a magnificent doctor and researcher, who only died today. For the record, Tim died of Melanoma, which was first diagnosed SEVEN years ago, before Covid. He was, unlike you, a very decent man

Saw Peter McCullough tear up at the end of his testimony in Canada yesterday. Seems like a good time to remind everyone what a POS liar he is.

Like Ukip and like Brexit, Reform is fundamentally a scheme hatched and backed by very rich men who are peeved that they don't run the country. Surely even their own voters have to grasp this eventually.

Sorry. What? Lee Anderson - “I can't answer questions on the allegations because Reform has started a full internal investigation.” Ranvir Singh - “Who is leading the investigation?” Lee Anderson - “I don't know because it hasn't started yet.”

Anyone who claims they did CPR in a Pfizer line should have to stand in front of a group of medics and scientists and state the date and location of that mythical event.
