Why would a 30-year veteran of the intelligence community decide to become a science fiction author? 🤔
The first few reviews have started to come in from actual buyers. You get ARC reviews, and you feel pretty good, but something about seeing a great review from a verified purchase makes it a bit more special.

What a journey taking "Detachments" from concept to first draft, through editing, the long DoD review process, and finally publication. To see it listed on Amazon and other retailers is simply incredible.

"Detachments" leaves readers doubting it is fiction at all. Written by intelligence Community insider, @RealRCCharles, it clears the fog surrounding unidentified anomalous phenomena and non-human intelligence. Available on 25 June 25, wherever books are sold. Pre-order now!"
In just 30 days, my book, 'Detachments' will be available for pre-order with a 25 June 25 release date.
Just a few loose ends left to tie up... but we're definitely on track.
Super exciting.
Not gonna lie... was actually pretty cool receiving my certificate of copyright for 'Detachments' in the mail.
😁👍
I have approved the eProof of my books jacketed hardcover. I can't tell you how excited I am to see the first physical proof on its way to me now.
'Detachments' is on track for the planned 25 Jun 25 release with pre-orders beginning 10 June 25. 😁👍
I have officially signed off on the book cover design for my novel, 'Detachments.' A surprisingly difficult process to find just the right scene that captures the emotion of the story without giving anything away. Great work @RealMeadowbrook!
Current indeed!!
We're not hating @Grok's description of us, only @RealRCCharles is a *current* AFOSI Agent:
"Meadowbrook Creations, LLC, a quirky publisher with a knack for navigating government red tape, champions authors like ex-AFOSI insider @RealRCCharles, believing fiction—laced with jaw-dropping "insider" tales—slips past the feds easier than non-fiction ever could.
RealMeadowbrook’s been teasing mind-blowing "fiction" like @RealRCCharles’ DoD-approved UFO tale, while probing writers on craft and secrets."
😁👍
Just checked out the initial book cover design for, "Detachments." Solid concept, pretty exciting. Refinements are underway.

With nearly 30-years in AFOSI, which much of #UFOtwitter believes is the "real men in black," @realRCCharles brings us "Detachments," a "tale" of contact with non-human intelligence (NHI) so incredible, you'll wonder how it could be just creative writing. 🤔
Coming 25 June 25.
Things are getting real!
Here's the latest on my debut novel: Detachments.

Of critical importance to our authors: It is much easier to get works of "fiction" approved through various government agency publication review processes than "non-fiction."
Why do you think that is? 🤔

ANNOUNCEMENT:
"Detachments" by Meadowbrook Creations author @RealRCCharles, has officially been approved by the Department of Defense.
Once you read "Detachments," you'll be shocked that the DoD ever approved this "work of fiction."
