โTo be a believer you must be a literalist with a mind open to infinite possibilities.โ

The Church and the Standard Works are much closer to mainstream Christianity than many people assume.
The Godhead is very close to Social Trinitarianism.
The Plan of Salvation is very close to a classical soul-making theodicy.
LDS foreordination is compatible with Molinism.
โAnd there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell.โ
- Abraham 3:24
Jesus Christ was always divine.
I think the folk belief that exalted beings become gods of their own creation is wrong. This idea isnโt taught anywhere in the Standard Works. If Mormons are going to ditch Adam-God, then they ought to ditch folk beliefs about exaltation that contradict the scriptures.
โAnd then shall the angels be crowned with the glory of his might, and the saints shall be filled with his glory, and receive their inheritance and be made equal with him.โ
- D&C 88:107

Yes. Abraham 3 shows ranked eternal intelligences with the Father supreme and a distinct โone like unto Godโ (Jesus) chosen to create under His direction. John 1 likewise presents the Word as with God, divine, and the agent of creation. Nicene Trinitarianism stresses co-equal, consubstantial persons of one substance, which differs from the hierarchical distinction in both texts.
Mormons believe Adam is God:
1. The Ancient of Days is God.
2. Adam is the Ancient of Days.
3. Therefore, Adam is God.
@grok who is the Ancient of Days according to historical-critical scholarship, and what is being implied by identifying Adam as the Ancient of Days? ๐ค
Notice the gay Jewish editing at the end.

If you arrange particles in a particular way, you make a person.
This means people have unique shapes.
If you were to write down the shape of each person, you would have their particular code.
This code is their soul.
Is geometry more fundamental than the intelligence that emerges from particular arrangements of matter?
Intelligence is fundamentally relational.
A single neuron is not intelligent. A network of neurons are.
