You know what, I kinda like this guy.
Connor McDavid praises the Carolina Hurricanes and perfectly describes their identity:
“You can't say enough good things about them, really. They do everything so well. Really, really impressive. It feels chaotic, but they're so organized amongst the chaos. It's really, really impressive. They're a great team, and there's lots to learn from them for sure.” #CauseChaos #CarolinaCulture #LetsGoOilers
Even with lack of leverage 3M is an absolute robbery. We are in a VERY good position right now with Nikki here the rest of the season AND room to make another move if needed.
Sounds like Nikishin’s camp came to terms with fact #CarolinaCulture didn’t have a trade offer on the table they’d find acceptable, it was better to finally get playing again and worry about the future later.
The $3m AAV was lack of leverage as a 10.2(c) player with no rights.
I absolutely want guys that WANT to be here but Nikishin fills a legitimate need for this team. Our window to win is now and our chances to repeat - while very hard - are VERY strong.

One year, $3M. Nikishin had asked for a trade but the Hurricanes had been trying to convince him to sign a one year deal and both sides could re-visit things next off-season if he still wanted out. He will also be eligible for an offer sheet next summer. He wasn’t currently.
Welcome back, Niki 👊
We've signed defenseman Alexander Nikishin to a one-year contract.

He’s absolutely gone next season but this is absolutely fucking massive in terms of our chances at repeating and winning another Cup.

It’s funny because I didn’t have that experience at all after 48 hours with mine.
I find it super fun to use and think the hardware is extremely impressive.
But I’m definitely on the fence about keeping it. A Pro/Pro Max is simply more practical as a daily-use phone for me.
👀
Could NC State be preparing to replace its Athletic Director, too?
During On3's discussion about Dave Doeren's firing, Andy Staples made a statement that really caught my attention.
"They're changing athletic directors."

It’s going to be a massive few months for this program, and we have to get a lot of things right to trend in the right direction, but man it feels good to finally be free.
It all had to be done to salvage the future of Pack Football imo.
NC State defensive coordinator DJ Eliot has also been fired by the Wolfpack.

I don’t really have a big issue with Touch ID.
But I will say that Face ID is absolutely incredible. Makes me laugh thinking back to when it was first introduced and the overwhelming consensus was that it was a terrible decision and that Touch ID is better.
Multiple key players out, flu going around the locker room, and still a 3-1-1 road trip.
Impressive stuff by this squad right now.
