Telemakus is a 26-year-old producer and pianist who began releasing jazz-informed beat tapes in 2018. (The Bay Area artist got his stage name from the same character played by Tom Holland in ‘The Odyssey.’) A few years ago, Telemakus was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a condition that weakens connective tissues and can cause severe finger hyper-extension, and he had to change the way he makes music. He was also instructed to wear eight silver rings around his finger joints, which is why his new album is called ‘Eight Ring Revival.’ Arriving 10/20 via Good Problem Studios, the LP features contributions from Flying Lotus, Sparklmami, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, GENA partners Liv.e and Karriem Riggins, and more. New single "2054" is a funky two-minute instrumental that features Riggins on drums and Chino Corvalán on bass and guitar. “As a musician, you recognize when someone has their own language,” Riggins says. “Telemakus has that gift.
