Had an incredible meeting last night with boxing legend and 1996 Olympic champion, @Klitschko . Beyond his status as a long-time heavyweight champion, Wladimir is an inspiring individual with a deep passion for the sport. We had a very pleasant discussion about the current state of Olympic-style boxing and @RealWorldBoxing challenging pathway to secure boxing’s future in the Olympic Movement. Wladimir expressed his support for our mission, appreciated the way we have been able to navigate the challenges of establishing and growing a new International Federation, and praised the work we have been doing to bring about a much-needed change of culture in the sport. Great appreciation for the Champ for his interest and care from my side. With individuals like Wladimir by our side, I’m confident we’ll achieve our goals. #TimeForWORLDBOXING

At the invitation of the Olympic Council of Asia @AsianGamesOCA , I had the privilege of speaking at their 44th General Assembly in India on behalf of @RealWorldBoxing . I celebrated the incredible achievements of Asian boxers, who secured 22 medals at @Paris2024 , and highlighted the importance of preserving the Olympic dreams of boxers across the continent. I also shared World Boxing’s key milestones, outlined plans to establish a confederation in Asia and enable its autonomy, as well as urged Asian NOCs to support their boxing federations in keeping the sport in the LA28 Olympic Programme. I’m especially grateful to HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al-Hussein, IOC Member and President of Jordan’s NOC, as well as the NOCs of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia for voicing their strong support for World Boxing at the GA. I also extend my appreciation to Dr Husain Al-Musallam for encouraging all NOCs to ensure their boxing federations take the necessary steps to safeguard boxing’s Olympic future. I take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Raja Randhir Singh on his election as OCA President and wish him all the best in this role. World Boxing stands ready to become a reliable partner to the OCA. With this global support, I’m confident we will secure and grow the future of boxing for generations to come 🥊🌍 🎥 The full video of the 44th OCA General Assembly: youtube.com/live/6gIcCYHz-AI… #TimeForWORLDBOXING

I have spoken to @neil_loughran from the Irish News Sport about the current situation in Olympic-style boxing, the future of our sport, communication with the IOC and other boxing mattrs. «The IOC has made its position very clear on the future of boxing in the Olympic Games and my message to all national federations is if they want their boxers to have the opportunity to compete at an Olympic Games in the future, then they need to take immediate steps to the growing World Boxing family and contribute to the recovery of our sport. This is the only viable path that will see boxing remain in the Olympic Games after Paris 2024, and all national federations must act now».
