🔥 $AVAX: 17,330 TOKENS THAT ARE NEVER COMING BACK.
Avalanche burned 17,330 AVAX through transaction fees during March 2026, averaging approximately 559 tokens per day, according to AVAX One.
Those tokens were permanently removed through network usage.
The mechanism operates alongside a maximum supply of 720 million tokens and newly issued staking rewards.
AVAX One’s analysis found that staking issuance still exceeded burns during that period, meaning the network had yet to reach net deflation.

With the minimum delay setting down to 700ms, @avax c-chain is edging towards 100k blocks/day, so I thought I'd see how many blocks the x and p chains make per day (108 and 6200).

It's low-effort slop, but last night I indexed NFTs from the @avax x-chain and this morning I deployed a site to xchain.skunkr.com where you can browse that index (not updating).
Figure that folks should be able to browse history.

ICYMI: On October 19th, @avax validators lowered the target minimum gas fee from 5 nAVAX to 2.5 nAVAX, where it currently sits.

The @FIFACollect L1 made 231 blocks for 239 transactions last week. 19 distinct wallets transacted last week, and 87 of the transactions were a single wallet redeeming NFTs in a 6-minute window.
