Did anyone actually think that the establishment would just let Albertans take all the goodies and walk away from the system with a vote?
I think very few Albertans actually understand the levels of control that exist beyond our provincial and federal governments.

Our healthcare system is completely dysfunctional and mass immigration is only fueling that catastrophe.
Recognizing this obvious reality is not "scapegoating".
Canadians deserve the best healthcare and we cannot maintain that while being the walk in clinic for the world.

When you understand that "rightwing" parties in most of the West are actually status quo protectors who serve as containment against real rightwing ideas and who are chiefly staffed by careerist politicians with little depth of belief, everything clicks into place
The ‘don’t diagnose’ harpies are only helping the offenders. Abusers love this defence! Gut instinct and pattern recognition are sufficient tells. The ‘don’t diagnose’ scolding is just a way to shut you up when you’re getting too close to the mark and making others uncomfortable.

I can’t believe all the GLP-1 BS. People are actually saying that most people CAN’T lose weight with diet and exercise. This is not true. The vast majority of people will lose weight if they reduce calories and move more. I’m not against GLP-1’s per se, but can’t abide the lying.
i swear canada is one of the least exciting places to vacation when you already live here
spend $4,000 to fly across the country just to end up somewhere that looks exactly like where you left
for that money im going to europe
at least let me go broke somewhere with a castle
Within the last month, I got hired for two part-time jobs I really wanted, my younger son got a referral to his dream company, and my older son got a job that is a huge leap for him both financially and professionally. Life can be so hard, but sometimes it relents and delivers.
It’s ‘really wild’ watching Zionists frame the Israel-Gaza issue as a false binary. They always rely on this black-and-white thinking: framing anyone who doesn’t support the Israeli state as a ‘Hamas lover’ or ‘pro-Islam.’ Guess what Bridget? Many people don’t support either.

Dark personalities (e.g. psychopaths) have 2 COMPLETELY different sides.
One side (the mask) is kind, understanding, helpful, normal. The other side is the reality which is controlling, manipulative, sadistic, will cross any line, exploitative - most people engage with the mask.

This is true. Narcissists and Borderlines are compulsive liars. They lie to get sympathy. They lie to get attention. They lie to discredit others. They lie to evade accountability for their actions. They even lie for no reason at all. You can trust absolutely nothing they say.
She’s not wrong. If women exercise good judgment, they’re likely to go through life without being assaulted. Bad things will still occur of course because there are always going to be psychos in the world, but sexual assault can be reduced by simply taking reasonable precautions.
One time I got high on weed after drinking all night, I woke up the next morning in a male friend’s bedroom. He had crashed on the couch, nothing happened between us but it was enough to scare me straight. Haven’t smoked weed since.
Made sure to never put myself in that position again. Because I’m an adult and not a baby, and I considered it a blessing that nothing unsavoury happened with anyone else, because my friend was looking out for me.
There’s no reason why women can’t be responsible for themselves, and make prudent, wise decisions about their conduct that largely keep us out of harms way. It’s simply a matter of choosing to do so. Not complicated in any way.

When the term "woke right" comes out I end the conversation. I know what that's about. It's a "shut up" move. It's well-poisoning. It's a deliberate move to delegitimize people with reasonable complaints by characterizing them as the worst of the dishonest on the right.
That's the rule with me. I leave conversations immediately when people use that term. No wiggle room.
