MW4's campaign was awesome. I look forward to going back through it, same with E-Day. But next is the imminent launch of MW4's DMZ mode - in less than eight hours!

Wow, a friend of mine (not on X or in the XBOX community) just made this for me. Seems it is time to upgrade from the basic list I've been used for twenty years. This is so nice!
I just reached 700,000 Gamerscore with the new Modern Warfare 4! It's been two years since 600k with Black Ops 6 on launch night, and wow what a time it has been. I'm happy to see Call of Duty claim another 100k milestone on my list, with the 600k era closed out by E-Day! 🎉

Shadow is over here tonight running around and playing with toys like she's a kitten - and she will be 17 in a month! She continues to do so well and when she runs and plays it's the best thing I could see. I caught some of it on video before laying down with her and playing.

I just finished Gears E-Day tonight with the final two Acts in one sitting, and wow, I spoke too soon when I called it a masterpiece. It somehow got *even better* in these final few hours of the campaign. It was one of those rare-air sessions of gaming where the immersion and intensity completely take over. Once again I was brought to chills by the horror and despair that was presented in the immediate aftermath of Emergence Day. I never saw any trailers or gameplay besides what was shown at the Showcase in June (I don't watch trailers for anything ever) so I didn't know at all what to expect. I can't recall a game that ever nailed such a mix of epic action, horror, and utter loss. I remember them saying in the Showcase that the city itself would feel like a character, and it truly does. It's no surprise that it takes an absolute beating, and you see that over and over again with increasing depravity by the Locust The visceral, disgusting, hateful war between Human and Locust starts off at 100 in the first seconds and never lets up. 22 years ago, as Halo 2 was about to launch, I was finally reading the few Halo novels that existed at the time after playing the original since 2001, and I went into the sequel with a passionate "dislike" for The Covenant, and in my mind was expecting the sort of warfare to transpire on Earth that we see in Gears E-Day. Of course Halo 2 went a different way with things and it is still one of my all-time favorites, but at first I was a bit thrown as a kid expecting just absolute carnage in the fight for Earth. Gears E-Day is the first game ever to give me that experience that I was expecting decades ago: a merciless, existential battle against the shocking invasion of a foe that wants anything and everything dead. Along with all of this praise for E-Day is the incredible visuals, audio, and gameplay. It was surreal at times to be playing such an epic game and even when 20+ hours deep be in awe of what I was seeing, or getting chills from the music or even a gameplay moment. There were the hits of nostalgia along with it all too, of course. Twenty years ago exactly we were mere weeks away from Gears of War, Zune, and even the HD-DVD accessory for the 360 all launching days apart from each other. I look back fondly on that fall, despite it feeling like lifetimes ago, and I cherish those launch purchases of mine to this day. To have E-Day release, and be such a polished masterpiece that finally shows us a prequel to that magic that we received in the fall of 2006. . . It is truly an honor to be here to play it. There are countless fans of this franchise who never lived to experience this game, and they were on my mind as I went through the campaign. They would have loved it. I hope I am lucky enough to be here for many more years of Gears launches and I hope that for anyone reading this as well. We are lucky to even have the opportunity to experience such a work of passionate art by this team at The Coalition. They should be so proud of what they accomplished here! Thank you @GearsofWar. ❤️

I reached Prestige Master just in time for #MW4 later this week! What a varied and fun past two years it has been with Black Ops/Warzone. This is an era of CoD I'll never forget - one that launched right when the first steps began in my move that eventually occurred in mid-2025. Sessions of Warzone provided a nice constant to have through the uncertain times, as has always been the case since WZ debuted. It was also the gaming finale of my former home of 20+ years, and it all even ended with a win. Now it is nearly time for a epic new chapter to usher in a whole new era of fun and memeories: Modern Warfare 4!

Today was a big day for Shadow. She went to the vet for a blood test for the first time since August, which is when her liver values were suddenly all sky-high and her main kidney value back to well above normal. Her appetite had gone down suddenly and it was a very worrying few days. Her and I have been working hard to improve all those values ever since, with the introduction of a new supplement for her liver, a bit more subcutaneous fluids, and an increased blood pressure medicine strength. Her demeanor and appetite has continued to be normal ever since that third week in August when she went downhill a bit, and she bounced back quickly after the vet appointment. I think in a lot of ways she has been at her best the last few weeks, and I went into this appointment optimistic that all her values would be drastically improved, beyond what the doctor said would even be possible as far as her liver values are concerned. We just got the results back a few minutes ago, and all her liver values are back to normal! They were dramatically lowered out of the high range, I think the vet was very surprised about it overall. The main kidney disease value was also drastically back down and in the high-normal range. The other kidney values remained stable, just out of the normal range, which is as low as they've gotten since this all started almost two years ago (Black Friday 2024) and originally were much higher in early 2025. I feel so lucky to still have her here nearly two years since I first thought it was the end or close to it. I'm so proud of her as well. She's been so brave and has made all this effort worth it and doable. She's so smart and trusting and it's a rare kind of bond that formed long ago and only strengthened as she knows everything I'm doing is only to help her and make her feel better. It has been a lot of work and effort but I am always grateful to be able to keep helping her and I hope there's years more of it. No matter what though, these past nearly two years have been a gift and I never take any additional day with her for granted. I've had her since she was just eight weeks old, back when both of us were so much younger, and I would love to continue getting old with her got as long as she can stay here with me. She will be 17 on November 15th! 🎉 Here are a few recent pictures of her. She's been enjoying the Gears E-Day playthrough and spends all of her days either sleeping or snuggling with lots of purring. She still has quite a lot of energy as she plays and loves being brushed!
Thank you everyone so much for all the sign-ups using my link. I've never had much luck with any kind of referral thing, but this great new site sells itself so it was easy to share my excitement and have others jump in with me it seems! Today was a big day for me and my cat Shadow, as she went to the vet after six months since her last tests. She's almost 17 now and until yesterday afternoon had been having a less than great couple of days that had me in such anguish and worry. It wasn't emergency status but it was time for another vet visit to see where we were at. She's seeming much better now, but just a couple of hours ago she was diagnosed with liver disease. All her liver values were way out of normal range for the first time ever. It's unclear if it's been caught in time and if the new daily medicine that's being added to her regimen of nearly two years can bring all these values back down to normal range, but she is a fighter and appear apparently cat livers can regenerate if managed well. I'm going to continue doing everything I can to manage what is now her chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure (her medicine for that has now doubled in dose as of today as well) and now also battling quite likely liver disease that is either chronic and/or severe... Thankfully she is a great partner in helping me help her and I've never had a bond like this with an animal. I've had her since she was just a few weeks old, and now in mid-November she will be 17. I'm so proud of her, and I continue to think of her as a living legend. To still be here, after being born in late 2009.. It's incredible to me, and I want to be greedy and hope that I have years more with her! So I say all that to again thank you all. This whole morning and afternoon could've been filled with dread and anxiety, but instead I was distracted by the thrill to be not only exploring this new XBOX-focused site, but then all the engagement and sign-ups...it was just a really good and exciting feeling, and made the time pass so fast as Shadow and I awaited the mid-afternoon trip to the vet. It was just a few minutes before we left that I saw I'd hit 100 referrals and it was really nice to see that as I went into a challenging afternoon that ended up confirming a new chapter of Shadow's life and battle has begun. Thank you again for all of the good vibes here, and thank you to @XCTdotLIVE for founding such a fun and stylish site dedicated to the ecosystem that we all love. I can't wait to see it somehow get even better as it no doubt grows exponentially from here. Here are some pictures of Shadow from the past few days:

I'm about halfway through the #GearsEDay campaign and several hours into the Versus/Horde Seige multiplayer modes. I love it all even more than I knew I would after this last June's jaw-dropping presentation at the Showcase. The gameplay, visuals, and audio are the best they've ever been for Gears, and are a top standout of this entire generation of gaming. At times this game even mirrors a major blockbuster movie with the action and set pieces it pulls you into. The campaign is merciless with the action and at times makes me feel like I'm also playing a straight-up horror game (which is fitting with the original taking inspiration from Resident Evil 4 20+ years ago). The Locust are absolutely vile, and each time a new aspect of them makes their debut to humanity, it is a terrifying treat. I can't wait to see what's next, and to spend countless more hours with the multiplayer components in this masterpiece of a game. Thank you #XBOX for giving this exclusive both the time and resources it needed to become as epic as it is!

Feels like Christmas morning over here! My #GearsEDay controller has arrived, along with the newly-released #Halo Warthog! This is my first time ever owning a Warthog aside from a Hot Wheels-sized one I've had for about a decade. This controller is SO nice.

I reached 690,000 as of today with #GearsEDay! Gears of War was my second-ever 10k game back in 2006. Then this past June in Los Angeles I hit 670,000 on 6/7 via Gears, just an hour before heading over to #XboxFanFest! This is a truly special day for this historic franchise.
