Yesterday was an interesting day. Fortunately my company has stayed up to date with PHP major versions so patching was trivial. It was just A LOT of servers to update as fast as possible.

I think @php_net needs to backport the RCE fixes to at least version 7.0. Yes, those versions are ancient and well past EOL, but this issue is too significant. I think the last statistic I saw is 15% of PHP deployments still running 8.1? Not backporting this feels irresponsible.

As I've learned from my own content speaking about AI, there's no way to talk about it without being polarizing. I'm glad to see VRChat creators speaking out about the slop. I would rather have that than let it quietly overtake the entire platform.

I also think this is not a simple issue. AI is here whether you like it or not. I think AI is a neat technology and it has its usefulness. However, I do not believe in using AI as a replacement for thinking, learning and being creative.

As this AI timeline progresses, so does my relationship with it. I now use AI for projects at work I just don't care about. Why waste time putting effort into something people don't appreciate me for. I can put my time and skills into projects I actually care about.
