It’s been a slow start for Leo Bernal in LIDOM, but he gets all of this one 108.5 mph and 383 ft

If current ABS check swing rules (as used in parts of MiLB) were in place this would not have been a swing.

That’s certainly not a swing with the minor league swing challenge system. Update: it might be closer than I originally thought it would be close.

We all love the outliers. Two-way players. Switch pitchers. But that's really hard to do in pro baseball, as Jurrangelo Cijntje has found. @GeoffPontesBA explains what that could mean for 2027. baseballamerica.com/stories/…

Why Giving Up Switch-Pitching Could Unlock Jurrangelo Cijntje’s Potential In 2027

The allure of Jurrangelo Cijntje's switch-pitching ability was strong coming out of the 2024 draft. But his career numbers have told a different story.

I think the obvious candidates are Casey Chenoweth and Brandon Allen. Externally: Will Bradley (TB assistant hitting coach) (Waterloo, IL native) (former SLU coach) Matt Borgschulte (WSH current hitting coach) (STL native) (Mo St graduate)

First I love how Katie’s side hustle is breaking Cardinals news at this point. Second off, will be interesting to see if an internal promotion is coming for St. Louis or if someone new will be brought into the org.
