Permit received: 110 surface drill sites approved at El Potrero. 48 holes / 5,540 m planned in Phase 1.
Pinnacle has received the SEMARNAT environmental permit for surface drilling at its past-producing El Potrero gold-silver project in Durango, Mexico. The permit covers 110 drill sites and is valid for two years.
Phase 1 targets:
→ In-fill around the historic workings, where the underground drill can't reach (14 holes)
→ Step-outs along ~1,100 m of Dos de Mayo strike that has never been drilled (9 holes)
→ The parallel El Capulín vein (8 holes)
→ The Estrella vein, ~500 m higher in elevation (17 holes)
Why it matters: this was not a standard drill permit. It needed a full environmental impact statement (MIA), and that baseline work also supports the permits still to come for the mine, plant and tailings.
Next: Pinos Cuates underground drilling is complete (73 holes), with assays expected in 3–4 weeks. Underground work at Dos de Mayo wraps up around the end of November, then the surface rig moves in. Pinnacle is targeting a production decision in early 2027.
