The European Commission and EU partners are developing tools & frameworks — NEATS, EU ETS MRV updates, and Horizon Europe research — to better predict and mitigate these effects.
Yet, our estimates still vary significantly depending on the models used. (2/3)
🌍✈️ How can we plan climate-optimized aircraft trajectories despite uncertainty over non-CO₂ effects?
Contrails, NOx, soot, and water vapour can sometimes contribute as much or more to short-term warming than CO₂ itself.

Drone noise isn’t just about loudness — sharpness, tonality & fluctuations make it more annoying than cars or planes. A recent review by RefMap researchers maps progress on measuring UAM noise & highlights key gaps.
Quieter skies need better answers.
