These positions have to stop. University of Tennessee (@Vol_Sports) has 3 “internship opportunities” for licensed, credentialed ATs. The stipend for this 12-month, 40+ hr/week position is… $27000. Plus, a parking pass.

Hey siri send all my money to Nexus
The Nemesis is designed to be in a league of its own and it serves a different function, design, and is smaller than our DV2. Standby for more to come as we plan to showcase all the features, because this kit will need more time to describe all its details ⚡

Telling athletes I won’t be in until later on Thursdays because I have therapy gives me hope in letting them know that it’s okay to take care of your mental health. Therapy is good for you and doesn’t make you any less of a person. 🧠🤍 #MentalHealthMatters

Taking PTO and being able to have coverage for your teams and athletes and not having to worry about them is such a luxury. Every AT deserves to have that kind of peace of mind when they need to step away from their site for whatever reason.

Respect: Jason Kelce had the #Eagles' athletic trainer of 13 years tape him before his retirement announcement because he couldn't be there for Kelce's last game due to undergoing chemotherapy... This is tremendous. Wow. (via Joe O'Pella/IG)

This is me, once again, saying that ATs will one day be on par with NPs and PAs. There are already people willing to pay $75/hr for the services an AT offers

A “not really evidence based” Hill I’ll die on: Almost all (>95%) of outpatient MSK surgeries should have a PT evaluation w/in 3 days of surgery. With a primary focus on education, safety, & reassurance. Some patients don’t need it. But Patients who do need it fail to get it.

Called 988 the suicide hotline today and found out there is something called a “warm line” for people who just need to talk to a counselor but aren’t in crisis to stay alive. That number is 888-945-1414 💛

Look at how ADs (CEOs) hire coaches- they have data of every coach in that sport, every position in that industry; we don’t have that for ATs; ADs laugh @ @NATA1950 salary survey because it is not complete & comprehensive

The environment and landscape of sports has changed, parents have changed, athletes have changed. It can be rough out there
It’s no secret that really good coaches are leaving coaching across the US. Why do you guys think there’s an uptick? Is this cyclical? Will it work itself out? Will inexperienced coaches flood the space? Is that a bad thing?

Because it’s difficult, does that make it not the right thing to do? Just don’t think that’s a good enough reason to not make a change. If you tell someone you’re a physiotherapist, the entire world knows what you do. We spent 23 years unsuccessfully trying to educate AT.

Kirby Smart made a $175,000 bonus for coaching in the Orange Bowl. The players got nothing. Yes, maybe this needs to get fixed.
Kirby Smart: “People need to look what happened tonight and they need to fix this.” Strong words on the opt outs…
