Join us in celebrating and giving thanks to God for 19 years of public worship in DC!
Tomorrow we'll celebrate our 19th Anniversary of public worship at @ReformedDC.
Join us in raising an Ebenezer and giving thanks for 19 years of God's preserving grace.
To celebrate Reformation Day, we used a "throwback" liturgy from the sixteenth century, with Lord's Supper drawing on Calvin's Strasbourg liturgy, and Baptism based on a form from the Synod of Dort.
In other words, no change from the other 51 weeks of the year.
The ten commandments are a faithful summary of God's moral law, the law of love.
We are called to love God, and love our neighbor.
First table (commands 1-4) express the love of God in his worship, the Second table (5-10) express our love of neighbor.
We are the red dot on Capitol Hill.
One of two / three NAPARC churches in DC.
The other two are part of the GraceDC network (PCA), hence the equivocation.
We believe the local church is connected to the universal church.
@ReformedDC is a member church of the United Reformed Churches in North America (URCNA).
The URCNA is in turn a member of the North America Presbyterian and Reformed Council (NAPARC).
NAPARC launched a new website.
If you're a member of a NAPARC church, you should go check it out.
If you're reformed or presbyterian & aren't sure if you are a member of a NAPARC church, you should go check it out.

If you are looking for a church, you should go to their new congregation finder map.
Find and visit a local NAPARC church.

I am enjoying our sermon series through Psalm 119 at @ReformedDC.
I have been genuinely surprised by the gospel riches found in this text, which, IMO, threatens to be "law" heavy.

Kicked off our summer series through Psalm 119 last Sunday.
I was initially daunted by the task of preaching through Psalm 119. Now I am excited by it.

On Sunday, our pastor @RevDrBLee challenged us to memorize one stanza of Psalm 119 before the end of the summer.
And/or, memorize on of the 22 stanza-songs of Psalm 119 from our Trinity Psalter Hymnal.
Join us in this challenge!
Which letter will you memorize?
