Dear Teachers,
As some of you may know, if you have any students in your class who identify as Christian, they may ask to be excused from school to observe the Christian holiday of “Christmas,” more popularly referred to as Yom Christmas or Nittel.

Resilience is not resistance to suffering. It's the capacity to bend without breaking.
Strength doesn't come from ignoring pain. It stems from knowing that your past self has hurt and your future self will heal.
Fortitude is the presence of resolve, not the absence of hardship.

One of the reasons trauma survivors often aren't that expressive about what we're going through is, we're VERY tired of the thing where, instead of LISTENING, well-meaning people try to leap out ahead of what we're saying & try to solve our problems or pain for us.
It's lonely.

People who really value you tend to communicate it in lots of little ways. Such as not interrupting you, asking/letting you elaborate on stuff that's important to you, & really paying attention to what you say.

Can you easily read the pictured text?
It is upside down and backwards so start in the bottom left corner.

ALT The following is upside down and backward. If you can easily read this, please share this tweet to help raise awareness. Unless you actively trained yourself to read upside down and backwards, it means that your brain is, for one reason or another, working in an atypical manner and that means that you are not Neurotypical. This means that you are Neurodivergent and statistically that means anyone following you has an above average chance of being Neurodivergent too!
